Leo XXIV

The mist in the area was strong. Strong enough to cast an exact replica of Finn's house, where I first met her. Finn ran to the door and opened it and I followed her. She bolted up the stairs, accidentally knocking over a picture frame. It shattered but she continued up the stairs. Finn swung open her bedroom door and looked around in a panic. Then we heard a woman call Finn's name. Her full name, I think. 

Finn froze.

"Finley? Finley Zoe Peony? Is that you?" The voice called.

We ran downstairs. There was a woman standing at the bottom of the steps, obviously distraught about something.

"Mom?" Finn backed away and out the front door, tripping and falling into me.

"Finley, it's been so long! Why did you leave me?" The woman stumbled along as if she were drunk, holding her hands up to try and grab Finn.

"You!" She hollered at me.

"You took her away from me, you made her think she was special! Now, look what you've done! You've made her think she is loved!" She laughed then whispered. "Who is the crazy one now?"

Her mother made a run for it up the stairs, running full force into Finn and shoving them both in her room. The door locked behind them.

"Finley!" I cried, my rage bubbled inside of me. Piper and Jason ran outside and around the side of the house, trying to find any way they could inside the bedroom.

"Finley!" Percy shouted.

"Can you hear me?" I pounded at the door trying desperately to open it. Percy rushed to me and we both hit the door full force, nothing happened. It was as if the door was made of concrete.

"Leo... Leo, please help me!" Finn cried from inside the room. We heard glasses break and furniture being pushed around.

"I'm not crazy! Why did you leave me?" Cried her mother.

"Mother you abandoned me! You went crazy after dad and Marina left us, and now you're trying to kill me?"

"You were never wanted, you were never loved!" Finn's mother screeched and we heard a chair smashed to the ground.

"Finn!" I screamed. I pulled my hammer from my tool belt and hit the door repeatedly as Percy threw himself against it.

"It's no use! I'll see if I can help the others!" Percy shouted

Then I heard it, Finn began to play her pipe again. I felt dazed. My eyes rolled into the back of my head and I felt myself drop to my knees. I was still conscious but I was drowsy. I felt drugged. I was watching myself open and close my hands. I eventually stood up and grabbed the stair railing. I opened my hands again but this time a flame lit my fingers and dance across my hand onto the wood.

My consciousness kicked in when I heard Finn banging on the door. I stood up and tried to open the door but the door still felt like it was bolted shut! I looked around and by this time the fire from my hands had embroidered itself along the walls of the house.

"Finn I will be right back!" I shouted above the sound of flames.

"Leo don't you dare leave me!" Finn screamed.

"I'll be back I promise!"

"Swear it!"

"I swear it on the River Styx!"

I ran outside to join the others who were still looking desperately looking for any form of entrance, a window, anything! But there were no windows! I hadn't noticed until now but all the windows had somehow disappeared. "Piper she's trapped inside!" I shouted. Suddenly, I heard the front door being shut as well.

"Finn, Finn! I can't get in but wait a second." I yelled at the top of my lungs. My voice hurt like hell.

Suddenly, the foundations of the house began to crack and I felt my heart sink. The roof collapsed and the sounds of screams emanated from the house, but not just the sounds of Finn and her mother. 

The rest of the gang gathered together in front of the house. I heard a final yell from Finn as she called out my name for the last time. It was a symphony of agony that was ignited by the fire that I started. 

Then, before the house could collapse, it vanished.
