OStar scarfed down her food and finished first, getting some shocked looks from her friends who were discussing the new info.
"What? I haven't eaten in over a day! Give me a break," she laughed.
It was nice joking with her friends again. Everything felt mostly back to normal, the death of Mystic behind them, but not forgotten. OStar didn't want to focus too much on the prophet anyways, she was at peace now.
What mattered was the box.
She wanted to see what was in that thing today, right now.
And she wanted her friends there, too.
They are all with her now, helping her. They couldn't help before when they had no idea what her story was.
OStar sat on the floor between the couch and the table, holding the box and listening to Charlotte explain.
"It's clearly not a normal box. I looked at it and it looked more like a device," she said before pointing to some small cracks. "Here is where I believe it should open, but it must open by some button because I couldn't pry it open. That thing is locked in place."
"Are you sure it even opens?"
"No, but I couldn't see any kind of camera or shiny orb thingy that would make a hologram of some kind," Charlotte said, tapping the top of the box where it said "OStar". "I am also assuming that it has some kind of video in it. It makes sense, right?"
"A special artifact would also make sense, maybe it's a toy," Rual added, getting a frown from Charlotte.

"It would be very lame if it was just some more portal keeper stuff," Afina mewed as well.
"It had better not be that," OStar huffed, putting the box to her face to get an even closer look at it.
Avaro was still sulking off to the side, refusing to speak to OStar no matter how much Lucerne begged.
She didn't care about that right now, she'd talk to him later after she figured out what this box was.
"Maybe... It can only be opened by me?" OStar offered, "Tell me what you guys did, I'll do the same thing to see if it works,"
"I tried shaking it," Charlotte said, OStar nodded and held the box carefully before shaking it up and down. Nothing happened.
"Try shaking it more!" Afina mewed, bouncing on her paws. The white cat shook harder, her forearms already getting tired. But still nothing.
Rual motioned for OStar to stop. "Easy now, before it accidentally slips from your paws and goes flying. We don't want it breaking now," he said as she stopped.
"What if it's already broken?" Estella pouted, pointing to the dented corner of the box. "It already looks like it has been dropped before."
OStar shook her head, disagreeing.
"It doesn't look to be fragile, I hope it's not," she said, a little worried.
"Try looking for a button," Lucerne suggested, changing the topic.
"There is no button, we all looked and found nothing," Charlotte replied, shaking her head.
"Well, maybe it's a button only OStar can see," the celestial beast countered.
The teen stopped for a moment, then nodded.
"Alright..." OStar sighed, searching the box for any kind of button or mini lever. She pressed down at random spots, rubbed it, tapped it, hoping for a reaction. But there was none.
"Still nothing?" Afina peeped up, reaching over to sniff the silver box.
"Nothing," she replied with a huff, ear flicking in irritation.
"Can I suggest something?" Roxxan spoke, waving her tail for attention.
"Go ahead, I've got nothing," OStar responded, putting the box on the table in front of her.
"There's only one thing that you can do that we can't, maybe try that," the robot said, leaving OStar confused.
"Try what? What can I do that none of you can't?" she questioned, her brows furrowing.
Roxxan waved her paws as if it was obvious. "Your magic."
"OH!" OStar exclaimed, "THAT'S what you were talking about!"
"That could work, but how?" Rual murmured, looking up in thought. "Her magic was destruction and creation. Maybe create a key?"
"No, no, don't use the magic on the box, just make it present, nearby," Roxxan interrupted. "I saw it in a movie once."
"You watch movies?" Charlotte asked, startled.
"Yes, I can enjoy movies from time to time," the bot hissed, offended.
OStar ignored them, wanting to try out Roxxan's idea. She let one paw glow with creation, the other smoking with destruction. It sure sounded like a good idea. Whoever made this item must have been really creative and smart by ensuring a way to keep others out unless they held a specific set of magic.
"Let's see if this works," OStar thought, slowly moving her paws to the silver box.
At first, to her disappointment, she thought nothing happened. But an odd whirring noise started coming from the box, making OStar flinch back. Her magic fading away as the box shook, gears or wheels spinning inside it.
"Is it working?!" Afina squeaked, jumping as her tail puffed out.
"I-I think it did!" OStar exclaimed.
"HA!" Roxxan meowed in triumph, casting a smug look at Charlotte.
"Shh!" OStar hissed before anyone could say anything else.
The light in the room flickered before dulling and creating the perfect mood as silence fell upon everyone. Tense, wary, excitement. Many emotions were going through each person and creature in the room, even Avaro had turned to listen.
The box grew still and silent, the cracks glowing before it opened, casting an even brighter glow.
Everyone watched, wide-eyed as a holographic screen started to form.
OStar stiffened, watching as a familiar face started to form. Ethan.
It was definitely a message.
