I start leaning down, closing the gap between our lips.

"Garfield..." Rae whispers softly. She keeps repeating my name as I get closer.

"Garfield!" She hisses, pushing me back into reality.

She's staring up at me with her arms crossed.

"Sorry, what did you say?" I ask trying act normal.

She raises an eyebrow at me and sighs. "I said that I'll be out for a bit. You can stay here and I'll give you my spare keys if you want to go out and do something".

"Alright." I say watching her go back to picking an outfit. "Hey, when you come back... Want to hang out?"

Rae looks back at me. Her expression unreadable. She turns back to her closet, pulling out a black oversized t-shirt and dark wash jeans.

"If you want to." She says quietly, putting the outfit on the bed.

She grabs a key from the bedside table and places it in my hand. I close my hand around hers and look into her eyes. Surprisingly she doesn't pull her hand away. I decide it's time to take a risk. What do I have to lose?

"Can we call it a date?" I say keeping my eyes locked with hers.

Her eyes widen. She opens her mouth to say something when there is a knock on the door.

"Friend Raven, do you need help with the outfit or maybe the hair?" Star calls out as she starts twisting the handle.

I quickly stash the key in my pocket and shift into a fly. As Star walks through the door, I zoom past her and out an open window.

I turn my face away from Star, so she doesn't see my red cheeks. I can't believe he asked to call it a date! Maybe he does like me? But what about Terra? I assumed he came here to see her or something. I'll have to ask him tonight.

"Friend Raven?" Star says placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought. I'll be ready in one moment." I say pulling my black tank top off.

I swiftly put on a bra and oversized black t-shirt. I pull off my chibi bear PJ shorts and replace them with my dark wash jeans. I turn around to Star who is looking outside the window. I am happy to be spending time with her. I missed her a lot since I don't have any other girl friends.

Star and I ended up going to so many cafés and stores. I hardly even bought anything compared to Star's mountain of bags. I open my apartment door to the sound of the TV playing. As I step inside and close the door I can hear Garfield's laugh.

He's laying on the couch watching some cartoon. He mutes the TV when I put the clothing bags down.

"Hey, you're back. How was your girls day?" He asks peaking his head over the couch to look at me.

"It was nice. I haven't seen Star for several months. She's usually busy with work." I lean over the back of the couch to look at Garfield.

He's staring back up at me and suddenly his words earlier flood back to me. I turn away, blushing.

"Still want to hang out?" He asks, sitting up.

"Sure, I still have some questions anyways. What do you want to do?" I ask.

He rubs his chin for a moment then smirks.

"How about we play some games?" He suggests. "If one of us beats the other then the loser has to answer one question."

I raise an eyebrow at him. He probably thinks he'll beat me because I don't play games much. Little does he know I play a bit with Cy sometimes.

"Alright, I'm fine with that. Just let me take these bags to my room." I pick the bags up and put them by my bed.

We sit next to each other and set up my xbox that Cy got for me last birthday. It's one of the ways Cy and I hang out.

Garfield picks a shooter game where we can play against each other. As soon as I peek a corner. It isn't long before he beats me. He gets up doing a little victory dance. I roll my eyes.

"One question coming right up!" He says sitting back down. "What have you been doing for these 5 years?"

"Really? That's all you're going to ask?" I stare at him.

"No, I'm just giving you an easy one this time." He chuckles. "Now tell me."

"I got a job at a bookstore and I'm living like a normal person as best I can." I reply.

"I can so picture that." Garfield smiles.

Round two is looking promising, I got him down to half health. If I can just shoot him a few more times I'll win. Suddenly a grenade lands at my character's feet and explodes. I groan.

"Alright, harder question now and you have to answer truthfully." He says looking me in the eyes. I nod. "How did you feel when you saw me again?"

I pause, thinking through how I actually felt when I saw him. I'll leave out how I thought he looked hot and ripped and... Yeah no. I can't tell him that part.

"I was shocked at first then I was relieved and maybe happy too." I say tucking a loose strand behind my ear.

"I'm glad you weren't angry." He smiles.

We start another match. He's about to shoot me, but I get lucky and get a headshot. I quickly stand up in triumph. I look back and Garfield and he's holding his head in his hands.

"Nooooo, you got so lucky." He groans.

"Haha! I finally get to ask you something now." I say in a taunting tone.

"Alright, alright. Hit me with it." He says leaning back in the couch.

I think for a moment until I remember something from last night.

"What did you mean last night when you said you didn't really love Terra?"
