"Whats up nerd? Another book about 'saving the environment' " Damien taunted, resulting in echoing laughter in the school's cafeteria.
I grabbed my books along with the carrot I was munching on and left in swift leps toward a bench in the school's compound.

Okay, let me explain Alittle. Last week Friday, random students were selected to present speeches in the auditorium based on any topic of our choice to equip us for the "world of work". Unfortunately, I was one of those student. What was I to present, I had no idea! Then it came to me, something based on "Prom" that most high school student get excited about, not me for sure though. I just wanted to step out of the shell I'm living under and let these idiots see I'm not some weirdo.

I stayed up the entire night that Thursday, editing my speech and practicing in front of my reflection in the mirror.
On Friday, Nervous but slighty anxious at once, I walked gently towards the podium and took a deep breath, at that moment I felt as if air could no longer enter my lungs. SOMEONE SWITCHED MY SPEECH!! I was freaked out but I tried hard as possible to act normal.
And by now, all will figure that it was replaced with the stupidest speech for an auditoriun filled with judgemental high school kids, entitled "saving the environment" I can still hear to this day and hour, ear soaring laughter and those screeching "boo!!", that came harshly my way.

Principle Duval tried in vain to restore order and silence but what  actually assisted him was the sexy captivating walk of the so called popular high school goddess, Scarlett Evans, heading towards the podium. Which if you ask me, looked more like a turkey poking its butt out while moving like a slote with eyes of a dead woman who these idiots consider "glamorous", which is actually an eye sore to me.

Okay, probably wondering why I despise her so much? Well, here's why. That witch had to audacity to read my stolen speech in front of me as well as everyone and took all the credits while they all taunted and chanted "Better than environment!!" "Katelyn!!" " It's Better than environment"......

That's not the only reason why she gets on my nerve. But also since she's the demon behind all my senior year high school downfall and hardship. And if I forgot to mention, she is also my step sister.

Her mom and my dad got married on August 24, 2018.
My mom passed away five years ago from cancer. I still miss her and sometimes think about her when I'm alone, which is actually most of the time. Nevertheless, I understood that my dad needed to move on, I had no problem with it, in fact I was excited about having a big sister. She's 18, just a year older than I am.
Her mom, my step mom, Sarah Spensor, 38, two years younger than my dad. Very fit woman for her age and absolutely gorgeous. I love her and she loves me too. She actually consider me her biological daughter, which I assume, created some sort of jealousy for Scarlett.

I try to love Scarlett too but she's not making it even possible for me to like her. Always treating me as if I'm trash. I don't know why. She never spoke to me as a sister, but I'm okay with that on some levels since I treasure my solitude. The only time she'd actually say something to me, is if annoy her, and annoying her in her twisted little head that is, because I still can't think of a time that I did wrong to her.

"Hey dreamer" I felt a soft strawberry scented arm wrapped around my neck. "Are you on earth babes?" she asked, Chrystallia (Chrissy I'd call her) that is, my Bestfriend. She's super gorgeous, and lookes even cuter with her glasses. Her well shaped 5'8" body compliments that adorable smile she always greet me with. And her milky coloured, baby soft, skin makes her long silky, black hair, glow. Everytime we hang out, people always tell us that we could easily pass as twin. Only my blonde hair would distinguish us, that, along with the fact I don't wear glasses.

"So, are we going to the party tonight?" Asked Crissy in a pleading voice. I looked at her with uncertainty in my face.

"You know partying ain't my vibe hun. How about we hang at the movies instead?" Looking at her with my forehead crimped. I could tell right away she wasn't pleased. So I added "Maybe if you find me something nice to wear I'd go" I said to her satisfaction.

"Yippy! Yes of course! I can lend you my black tight fitted dress, or maybe the red I got for my birthday, or we could go shopping...!!" She wouldn't shut up and her excitement soothed my spirit. Exactly what bestfriends are for, right!
