As we sat about to have dinner, my dad cleared his throat and said "So Tyler and I spoke yesterday-..." I choked on my drink and everyone stared at me attentively.
"I apologize for the way I reacted that morning. I now understand what's happening between the two of you. He's a good guy." He said warmly.
I cleared my throat with my head down, knowing that everyone was looking at me.
"Oh! It's cool." I replied and forced a smile.
"Oh, here's your phone. Figured youle need this back." He added, taking my phone out of his pocket.
I looked up at Chrissy fearful of what might happen next.
"You lied to me!" She exclaimed in disbelief.
"Oh no! Ain't Wana be part of no teen drama. What the hell did I started." Said my dad which made us all chuckled by the way those words left his mouth.
"Kate. I thought we told each other everything? Or are you mad at me for dating your child hood cru-.."
she tried to stop herself from finishing that last line. But everyone had already figured.
"Oh my god! I didn't.. I didn't mean to say-that" she added with regret.
I'm already used to these kind of dramas so it didn't really bother me. But what actually did, is seeing the look on James face after hearing such news.
Imagine the level of awkwardness at this dining table.
"Um, Kate has been through alot. And it will only be fair if we let her explain herself when she's comfortable to do so" said Scarlett in the most sweetest way that can be said, finally I had a big sister to stand up for me. And what she said was exactly what I wanted.
I smiled at her, my eyes popping with greatfulness, then said, "Thank you so much, sis."
She held my hand and our eye contact did the talking.
Everyone at the dining table was in disbelief, including James who had no idea what was taking place but know very well how Scarlett made my life a living hell back in Canada.
Scarlett looked over at Chrissy and said. "Chrystallia, I think by now you should know that Kate adores you and respect yall Bestfriendship. And if it's one thing I'm absolutely sure on, it would be that Kate would never hurt you on purpose."
She's correct! Chrissy is the only Friend I had since 1st grade.
"Yes. I know that." replied Chrissy smiling. She looked at me and said. "Please forgive me for what I said, I'm sorry!"
We hugged and my dad cleared his throat then added. "I hope it's not a bad time to mention something. I wanted it to be a little surprise but now I'm not so sure." I looked at him attentively
"I invited Tyler over for dinner tonight." He said warmly.
And with that, the door bell rang.
I shouted anxiously. "That must be him, i'll get it!"
It was Tyler. I opened the door and let myself out, grabbing at his hair and unwarningly took charge of his tempting lips. He didn't stop to inquire why I did it, he just kissed back even harder. I was satisfied with his ability to reciprocate, and as usual I had to be the one to slow things down, saying. "We should get back inside before someone sees us." I said softly beneath deep breaths.
He grab at my waist and gently held my hand placing it at his crutch, which actually felt like a huge stone down there. I turned him on with just a few kisses, damn I'm a good kisser.
"Baby, you can't leave me like this." He pleaded.
I gave him a wicked smile and massaged the back of his head with my cold fingers while staring into his gorgeous blue eyes. He leaned in and place an intense kiss on my lips followed by a slow deep bite at my neck which made me slightly moan.
We hugged tightly while he breathed the scent of my strawberry smelling hair trying hard as possible to illuminate the sex urge which I've created, in order to dine with my family.

"Are you two okay?" My dad inquired, "Took quite some time out there." He added, raising an eye brow.
"Yeah, um. We were just catching up." I lied.
Tyler gave me a naughty smile and Scarlett noticed, making her smile Silently to her self.
"So, now that we are all here. Let's eat!" My step mom said in cheer.
"This is really good honey." My dad complimented my step mom as he bit into his chicken.
"Thanks sweetheart." She replied smiling.
"I was wondering, since we are all here and now getting to know each other. If Tyler can spend the night with us.." said Chrissy slowly.
"That's actually a good idea." My step mom agreed.
"I suppose it's okay." My dad replied.
"Great!" Exclaimed Chrissy smiling at me.
I felt a cold feet slowly rubbing against mine, which extended at my legs under my dress. I sat tightly trying to act normal knowing very well those naughty feet belong to Tyler who sat across me from the dining table.
I felt guilty so I excused myself to the bathroom which made my wicked hot boyfriend smirk.
"Mom this was really good! But I'm full, can I please be excused too?" Said Scarlett softly.
"Sure honey." She replied smiling.
"Um, I agree with Scarlett, meal was very tasty aunt Sarah. But I'm full too, is it okay if I go?" Said Chrissy anxiously.
"Sure honey." Replied Sarah with a wider smile. She then looked at Tyler and James and said chuckling, "Don't waste breath to repeat what they said. You both can tag along."
With that, Tyler and James quickly left heading towards my back yard where Scarlett, Chrissy and I sat on a bench.
My step mom looked at my dad and said smiling "Uhh kids, remind me of our days in high school." Dad winked at her.
"Saw that red spot on Chrissy's neck?" My dad asked.
"Yes, remind me of the one you gave me in the school's auditorium." My step mom replied.
"I miss those days." Said my step mom with a sigh.
"Well we can recreate them" dad replied, heading over to my step mom and did God knows what else.

Okay, so you're probably wondering if Katelyn's dad cheated on her mother too. The answer is no. Marcus and Sarah were high school sweethearts, but their parents never agreed for them to get marry, so the end up on separate paths. Marcus did fell for Katelyn's biological mom, and after her death the two high school sweethearts reunite and got married. (to sum it up, Both Marcus and Sarah were loyal to their partners, it was until after their deaths that the two high school sweethearts got back together.)
