I stood staring at my reflection in the mirror in my bedroom while my step mom stood behind me fixing something on the navy blue dress that covered my body, which made my light skin glow. My hair lossed with a sliver clip holding a few strands of hair at my back to stop it from falling in front my face, followed by a beautiful silver bracelet my biological mom left me before she died, on my right hand and tiny ear rings with matching chain that added to my beauty. My face felt strange from the make up my step mom did (she's actually really good at doing make-up) practically due to the fact I've never worn make up before. On my feet a pair of silver heels complimented my out fit and completed it.
"Sweetie, you look absolutely gorgeous!"Exclaimed my step mom, smiling.
"Awe, thanks" I smiled pleasingly.
*Car horn honks*
"Omg, he's here!" I exclaimed nervously.
I don't know why I'm so nervous about an official date considering all the sneaking out we did over the past month. Probably because it's the first time he'll see me in a dress and my god, these heels! They're killing my poor feet whose accustomed to 5 pairs of sneakers, one for each occasion. Unfortunately, is not 'appropriate' to wear on your first date. #Number_one_rule_for first_date_of_a_female. Which of course, never expected I'd have to follow, but Tyler is so worth it!*Door bell rang*
"I'll get that, take your time and come on down, okay honey!" My step mom squealed taking her hands off my shoulder.
"Woa! Your killing it girl!" Said Scarlett convincingly, which made me blush Alittle.
"Hi Mrs Spensor. I'm here to pick up Kate. I got permission from Mr Spensor, he said you both agreed it would be okay." Explained Tyler formly, but also in a sexy way. He's such a gentle man!
His dreaming blue eyes interlocked with my pair of slightly grey ones. They scanned my entire body then back up to mine.
He said with intensity, "God I'm so lucky! You look absolutely wonderful.. So gorgeous!.. Wow!.. Baby you look amazing!" The way he searched for words to describe how I looked was enough to convince me that I look okay. Well, way more than okay. And that actually made me blush.
He kissed my forehead and our fingers interlocked heading towards his car.
He got the car door and drove off to somewhere I was clueless about. He wouldn't tell me where, all he said was, 'its a surprise!'
******************************
It was definitely a surprise.
I know you'd probably expect your first date in some fancy restaurant or the movie theater or something of that sort.
Instead what I got, was beyond my expectation. What I stood there staring at was a ship. And not some regular ship. It was so captivating! Neatly decorated with fairy lights that formed our initial. (T.K) on both sides, surrounded by what seem to be hundreds of swan separated by red flowers which glowed in the clear water, lit by the stary night sky in the middle of the most popular and beautiful ocean in America.
A captain was already in place to take us at the ship (Our date spot), stabilized by thick ropes which also had fairy lights twitching. He quickly disappeared leaving us alone. I stayed quiet and allow my eyes to properly admire the beautiful sight that captured me. Inside of it was way more beautiful than the out. I never knew fairy lights could form those technical shapes and looked exceptional! Who ever decorated it didn't want to stop there, they added the brightest roses in the center of each shape formed by the blinking lights. Believe me when I say, it was the most beautiful thing I've seen in my entire life.
