Chapter 5: 'It Just Keeps Getting Worse!'

   Doctor- "Okay Ms Katelyn, Mr and Mrs Spensor, there's nothing to worry about. Your daughter is alright and so are all her healthy body parts. The pain she's feeling is normal since it was her first time, but due to the fact she wasn't ready and all was inserted at once, is responsible for all the terrible pain she's currently feeling. In three days her cervix will contract and all pain will be gone. I suggest Ms. Katelyn should practice yoga, it has metal, physical and emotional benefits which would be the best thing for her situation. You can visit my office in three days or if you feel the need to return earlier, you can. Have a wonderful day Mr and Mrs Spensor, nice meeting you both, and do take care of this pretty young lady, she's a humble one."

Well being called humble made me smile. Along with knowing that all my parts are okay, made the sweet smile that crafted on my face, widen. But then I felt a slight guilt within my gut. I knew this happened because I allow my frustration to take control and did as I felt in the moment, which cost me my virginity, the most precious thing a female could ever have. And due to my stupidity, lost mine to a complete stranger, in the most tragic way.
Is it really my fault though?

"So who's hungry?" Asked my step mom, trying to maintain the slight sense of joy among us three..

"I'm thirsty, could use a milkshake.." I replied with a smile.

"I'm craving some ice-cream..." My dad said with a questionable smile.

My step mom and I looked at him strangely. "Ice-cream?" We both laughed. "You sound like a 5 year old!" We said at the same time.

"Well I do move like one, don't I baby?" Said my dad as he smirked at my step mom.

"Eww, you guys are so gross!" I exclaimed and scrunched my nose in a joking way.

They both laughed.

Scarlett pulled up. "Hey mom!" She leaned in and smack her cheek.

"Hi Marcus" she smiled to my dad.

She didn't even budge to look at me.

But my step mom said "And-?..." Casting a gaze at me

"Oh hi Katelyn" she forced a smile.

I smiled genuinely.

"We were gona get ice-cream, you're welcome to join." I offered.

"Nah, I'll go hang by my besties. It'll be more fun.." said Scarlett softly, but in a bi*chy way.

"Scarlett!!" My step mom raised her voice Alittle and I interrupted politely saying "It's okay, we can grab her a smoothie on our way home" I smiled.

"No that won't be necessary!" Shouted Scarlett coldly as she walked towards her car.

My step mom gazed at the ground and rubbed her forehead. I can tell she's searching for a way to exclude the current tension Scarlett left among us. So I assisted.

"Well.. aren't we gona get ice-cream now!?" I said, breaking the silence, sounding like a restless kid.

"Sure honey!" My step mom responded with a smile.

Dad put his hand around my shoulder as we headed towards his car.

"So now that we're alone. I was hoping we could talk" said my dad in a serious tone.

I looked up and raised an eye brow. "Sure, about?" I questioned.

My dad and step mom looked at each other then to my face, dad replied. "You know the police have to be involved Kate, we were hoping to catch the person that hurt you..."

I quickly stood up and breathed heavily.

"No!!! Dadddy!! You can't do this!!.. I don't want to know who he is!!.. And I dont want the police involved!! Not again!!.. I've had enough!!"
I felt tears trickling down my now reddened cheeks. My hands trembled and so did my entire body. My heart pounded against my chest as of it would pop out my rib cage.
"I-.. I want to move as far as possible as I can from this place!! I don't want to go back to school!! Daddy Please, please take me away. Sarah please!!" I begged.
"We should be talking about moving! Not about digging into my past!!" I Shouted. Causing people to stare our way.

"Kate!! What past honey?? This happened just a few nights ago..." said my dad in concern.

"Don't act like you don't remember dad!! The guy that touched my butt at school. Chrissy told you. I was 14, Dad!! And you caused a huge scene!! Got Police involved.. Made them invonterrogate me!! Everyone at school heard about it.. And I'm the one that had to deal with all the mockery.. Not you!! Not the police.. ME!!" I screamed at him in tears.

"Kate!! This is not about a kid just touching your butt! It's about a total stranger digging into your underwear while you were drunk!! Left you half naked on the side of the road, where I found you!! How do you think I felt as your father!!!...." dad shouted uncontrollably.

His words faded as I looked across the ice-cream shop with eyes of both young and old periecing into my skin. They all heard! All of them! I felt like a s*ut!
Now everyone at school would know...
