I woke up still in Daniel's embrace, happy and fulfilled. It was early in the morning and the sun started to shine through the window. I was so happy, I could feel myself glowing from the inside. I didn't want to get up at all, but my phone's alarm rang.
I reached my hand over Daniel to silence my phone...and I saw it.
"Daniel! Daniel wake up!" I spoke slightly panicked.
He rolled over slowly before asking "what's wrong Love?"
"W-what is this?" I asked showing him my hand.

"It's a ring" he yawned.
"Why is it on my finger?" I asked.
"Because you said yes last night." He responded, "you did say yes right?"
I nodded, "I mean yeah, I didn't know you were serious." I gasped still staring at my hand and holding my chest with the other. I was engaged and I couldn't believe it.
"I was completely serious Love, I want you to be my wife." Daniel smiled.
"Oh my God Daniel." I smiled kissing him multiple times.
"We're going to have to make up something when my mom asks how I proposed though." He chuckled.
"Yeah, I agree."
"Okay, now go back to sleep...fiancé" he smiled.
I couldn't help but smile like an idiot as the word rolled off his tongue.
"I can't, I have to go back home and check on Daquan," I said.
"That boy is practically a grown man, he's fine."
I chuckled and got out of bed. "I'm still going to check on him."
Daniel nodded, "Okay, I'll drive you."
"Thank you fiancé," I smiled.
I got dressed in the same dress I wore last night and we made our way to his car. As we started driving, I couldn't help but stare at Daniel. His profile was so sexy and I couldn't help but think of last night.
"You good Love?" Daniel looked over to notice me staring.
"Yeah, I'm good." I smiled.
He nodded. "Last night was... something huh?" Daniel said with a light smiled on his face.
"It was amazing, thank you." I smiled.
"No, thank you, baby," I replied. "You made me feel something I didn't know I could feel."
"I should be saying that to you, I love you Love."
"I love you more baby." I leaned over to kiss his cheek.
"Are you coming over again tonight or do you want me at your place?" Daniel asked.
"Hmm, can you come over to stay the night?"
"Okay, I gotta run some errands then I'll be over," Daniel spoke pulling up to the parking deck of my building.
"Okay bye baby." I kissed him twice and made my way up.
Considering it was the weekend and still early, I figured that Daquan was still sleeping, so I tried to enter my place as quietly as possible.
"Good morning," Daquan smiled as he placed his plate in the sink. I jumped hearing his voice.
"Hey, how are you?"
"I'm good, and should I say the same for you?"
Letting out a small laugh, I nodded. "Daniel and I are back together."
"I can see that." Taking a second to examine me, Daquan's jaw dropped. "No, you didn't"
"Huh?" I spoke trying to play dumb. "What did I do?"
"Y'all fucking now?" Daquan laughed.
"Daquan" I scoffed, "that's inappropriate!"
I began walking down the hall. "Besides, I can do whatever I want with my fiance."
As I made my way to my room, I could hear his footsteps follow me, "With your what?"
"Daniel proposed last night." I smiled showing him my hand exuding a glowing diamond.
"Oh my God," he spoke. "No wonder you let him hit."
I smacked Daquan's chest and he laughed. "Okay, I'll stop," he said. "I am happy for you though."
I smiled and gave him a hug, "thank you", I said. "What are you doing up this early?"
"I'm going to see Olivia."
"Oh okay, how is she doing?"
"Good, we're just taking things slow."
"Okay, there's nothing wrong with that."
"You and Daniel better not start fucking over here." Daquan spoke, "I don't want to hear that shit."
"Daquan, go and see Olivia!."
