Chapter 25

IT'S been a week since Dusk went to the Philippines and like his past visits, he found nothing. He cannot blame the investigators or anyone else because they have no clues to start with in the first place. With almost a month without Sheen in his side, he intermittently became a man breathing but without soul and meaning. Nothing can really bring him back to life again but Sheen herself.

And now, he is getting ready again to leave for Philippines. He just came from a mission commanded by the CDE and he decided to proceed with his flight within the day. But before going to Lux Airport, he needed to drop by his penthouse because he forgot his passport and plane ticket on his room. Though he has a private plane and a capable aircraft to send him easily to the Philippines, he decided not to use it this time because it will be a hassle on Ex's part. Ex has been a crucial help to him in finding Sheen and he does not want to add another burden to his ever-busy friend, especially since he is managing his company.

Nakuha na ni Dusk ang mga dapat niyang kunin sa kwarto niya. Mabuti na lang at mukhang tulog si Ria kundi napakarami na naman nitong itatanong sa kanya. She became nosier even if he won't answer any of her questions.

Dusk is heading towards the door but his phone rings so he decided to answer it first.

"Are you going there again Kuya?" tanong ng kapatid niya

"Yeah."

"Okay. I'll be there tomorrow so see you."

Dusk sighed. "You don't need to."

"Why can't I? I already bought my ticket Kuya so there's no turning back."

"But you have a lot of things to do and I don't want you to be burdened even more. So put your nose off because I got this, okay?" paliwanag niya sa kapatid. He just felt that he is consuming a lot of Miguel's time by finding Sheen and they are unfortunately failing every time. Miguel is the Chief of MPD and CDE so he got the whole country's safety on his back and making him worry and entangled on finding Sheen would just be another burden

"Nope. I volunteered to do this and it's making me at least feel at ease that I'm finding her even if we're failing every time. She is important to me Kuya and so are you so please don't make me stop doing what I yearn to do.  And Mí Angel or you will never be a burden to me. Please remember that."  Miguel is really a competent candidate for the best brother in the world. It's just that he is a motherfucker, which unfortunately undermines his paragon character. 

"Okay. See you." He said and drops the call. He needs to go to the airport now so he heads outside the room. But he was slightly startled when he saw Ria standing on the living room and she seemed to have been waiting for him. Tiningnan niya lang ito saglit at patuloy pa ring naglakad paalis. 

"You're leaving again? Why do I feel like it's so useless for me to live here because you're not even present every time I'd need you? You're not even sleeping or eating in this damn house and you're just passing by as if I am not existing at all. What am I, a wind?"  And here they go again. Bored na lumingon si Dusk kay Ria. He just have to stand there and listen to her whining because she'll whine even more if he leaves now.

"I am here but I can't even see you or watch you silently from behind. All I wish is to hug you, to kiss you and to cuddle with you again but it seems like it will but remain in my dreams forever. Sometimes, I wish to just simply delete you. But I can't help myself coz' how am I supposed to when I can't even forget you? You treated me like a queen before but I really feel like I am just an extra baggage to you now. Just how did we end up like this Dusk?" Ria emotionally said as she is about to cry again.
