Yeonjun's POV
Yeonjun was currently inside his room listening to music with his headphones. He locked the door so that he wouldn't have to hear all the screaming from his parents.
Today is the day when the whole kingdom will find out who the true Prince is. Yeonjun didn't give a shit about who it was. He hated everything that had to do with the royal family. He envied how much attention and praise they got, which is something Yeonjun lacked.
On the other hand, his parents cared a lot about the royal family. They were currently squealing in the living room. The program where the true Prince will announced was streaming live on the television. Yeonjun rolled his eyes and took off his headphones. He decided to do his homework right now instead of doing it later because he always ended up sleeping on his homework if he did it late. So he grabbed his bag, took out a bunch of papers, and started doing the long process of completing homework.
It was taking even longer than usual because his parents put the tv on full volume. He groaned and yanked on his hair in frustration.
Why can't they lower the fucking volume? Do they want my ears to bleed??
Yeonjun gave up on trying to complete his homework. He wanted to eat now. He always got hungry while doing his homework (Do you get hungry while studying/completing hw?). So, Yeonjun journeyed into the kitchen, which was right next to the living room.
At this point Yeonjun accepted his fate, Tomorrow morning my ears will be broken because of my stupid parents. How come they aren't bothered by the volume?
Yeonjun grabbed some popcorn that was in a bag and started throwing fistfuls into his mouth. He saw a cheesecake on the counter.
Yeonjun's eyes sparkled with delight.
He hasn't had any sweets in a long time because his family didn't want to buy any unhealthy stuff. He put the cheesecake on a plate and held it in his right hand. Then he turned his attention to the tv.
.....This is the moment everyone has been waiting for, the name of the true Prince!
A loud cheer was heard from the crowd of people shown on the tv. The man who spoke earlier took a slip of paper out of his pocket and smiled widely.
Wow this is actually kind of exciting
