Inside we had all gathered around the tomb as myself and Lucy take our spots sitting on the Stone Table. I give my brother barely any of my attention as he addresses the Narnians.

"It's only a matter of time. Miraz's men and war machines are on their way. That means those same men aren't protecting his castle." Peter starts looking around at everyone.

"What do you propose we do, Sire?" Reepicheep asks, his question aimed at Peter.

"We..."

"Our..." Peter and Caspian say together while Peter looks at Caspian. Caspian concedes.

"Our only hope is to strike them before they strike us." Peter says and this shocks Caspian who speaks up immediately.

"But that's crazy, no one has ever taken that castle." Caspian states as he shakes his head.

I see my brother roll his eyes before speaking up again. "There's always a first time."

"We'll have the element of surprise." Trumpkin says catching onto what Peter was saying.

"But we have the advantage here." Caspian pointed out and a frown appeared on my face thinking it over, either spot has its pros and cons.

Susan starts to speak up trying to help Caspian. "If we dig in, we could probably hold them off indefinitely."

"I, for one, feel safer underground." Trufflehunter said smiling.

Peter looks towards Caspian and says to him in an almost thankful tone. "Look, I appreciate what you've done, but this isn't a fortress, it's a tomb."

"Yes, and if the Telmarines are smart, they'll just starve us out." Edmund says as he comes over to me and stands close.

Pattertwig the little squirrel looks around twitching as he speaks up. "We could collect nuts!"

Reepicheep rolls his eyes as he talks to Pattertwig. "Oh yes and throw them at the Telmarines! Shut up!" He shouts and then turns to Peter. "I think you know where I stand on this, Sire."

Peter looks to Glenstorm who was unsure of what to do. "If I can get your troops in, can you handle the guards?"

Glenstorm looked over to me slightly and saw my look but he wouldn't disobey the royals of old. "Or die trying, my liege."

"That's what I'm worried about." I whispered as I looked at the carving of Aslan.

"Sorry?" Peter questions looking at me. Appalled at what I said.

"Well, you're all acting like there are only two options: Dying here or dying there." I said as I turned slightly looking at them all.

"I'm not sure you've really been listening, Crescent," Peter muttered, rolling his eyes.

"No, you're not listening. Or have you forgotten who really defeated the White Witch, Peter?" I spat as my eyes blazed a bright gold.

"I think we've waited for Aslan long enough." Peter growled, not backing down. I scoffed realising he forgot myself and Aslan defeated her together, I decreed her death Aslan finished it.

"And when we fail, it will be your fault," I growled, stepping back and with one final shake of my head I walked out of the room and away from our brother. Lucy, and Edmund right behind me.

"He's an idiot," Edmund scoffed as we stood together. I smiled at his words as Edmund muttered about how stupid he was.

I looked in the direction of the troops and sighed. "I'm scared for all of them," I whispered. "This isn't like with the Witch, yes Aslan may not be here, but I believe Peter and Susan have forgotten one thing." I started looking.

"They forgot you can see him whenever." Both my brother and sister said.

"You're gonna talk to him, aren't you?" Lucy asked and I nodded. Getting off the wall I walked away from the pair as they went over to check over the troops, making sure they were well fed and well rested.

Finding a secluded placing behind the stone table I leaned back and rested my head against the stone. I quickly fell into a deep sleep.

"Aslan!" I called out as I walked through his country. I smiled seeing old friends, sadly they couldn't see me.

"My cub, you're home," Aslan stated from behind me. I turned fast and bent down to hug him. Aslan rubbed his head against mine. "Come walk with me."

Following Aslan we walked in a silence for a while before I finally spoke up. "Peter has taken charge of Caspian's army, and he plans to seize the Telmarines castle." I started. Aslan sighed shaking his mane as we came to the cliffs, Aslan laid down and I sat with him.

"I know, remember my cub, I see through your eyes, just as you see through mine." Aslan stated. "Both him and Susan have forgotten."

"I know, I'm scared for the troops Aslan, I don't think I could go through more deaths again," I whispered as my eyes filled with tears. "I'm sadly impressed with my magic for holding onto the illusion I've casted, but for how much longer will it stay," I whispered, as my true look appeared.

"I'm not sure my cub, but there is a way to save the troops if they get caught by the Telmarines. You have the power to get them out of there, but you will stay behind, I don't wish for you to be killed, not at all but I most definitely do not want you to have to use the darkness in Narnia." Aslan whispered before blowing on my face and the illusion was back.

"The darkness?" I questioned with a frown.

"Yes, the past deaths of friends, families destroyed by the Telmarines, you will have to use their memories of the pain and fear they felt. It'll be suffocating for the Telmarines, but it will give you time to escape." Aslan explained.

"So you're saying I will have to live through the pain again," I whispered scared.

"I'm sorry my cub, but it is the only way. I wish there were more, but I have nothing." Aslan said looking away saddened by the truth.

I placed my hand on his head and started petting his head. "It is for the safety of the Narnian's and I will always protect, after all, I am the hope and light in the darkest times," I whispered before fading.

"Crescent, it's time to go," Edmund whispered, I blinked trying to get rid of my blurry vision.

"Okay," I whispered, before getting up and looking at my clothes. I dusted them off before raising my arm and my sceptre came to be in my hand. "For Narnia and for Aslan," I whispered looking to the stone carving of Aslan.

'Make him proud, don't back away, the weight is back on your shoulders, but you can get through it, you have to.'
