Peter's birthday

Over due chapter, whoops. Was supposed to post this a week ago, on August 10. Peter's bday.

Beep beep beep

Peter slowly opened his eyes to be greeted by the annoying sound of his alarm clock, he looked at the time

8:15 am | August 10 | Monday

He sighed, it was his birthday. Ever since Ben he stopped being excited about his birthday, they used to do all these fun activities on Peter's birthday but now that he's gone it left a void in Peter's life.

He slowly got out of bed and went to the kitchen to find May cooking some pancakes. She knew he didn't like his birthday anymore but that didn't stop her from doing small things for him. Peter still appreciated the effot.

"Good morning sweetie! I made you some pancakes, now wash up and eat up. I gotta go get ready for work" Peter sat down and starting eating his pancakes giving May a small smile as she kissed his forehead before leaving the room.

Peter finished up his pancakes and went to go get ready for school.

Peter got to school to be greeted by his best friend at his locker "Peter! Happy birthday man!" Ned said as he pulled Peter into a hug

"Thanks man" they started talking about their usual topics like a new Lego set that's coming out and that math homework Mr. Martin decided to give last minute. "Oh before I forget, I got you a gift. And yes I know you say that you don't want a gift every year so this year I decided to give you this instead" Ned pulled out a plastic box, tied close with ribbons, containing afew cupcakes. "me and my mom were baking last Saturday and I remembered it was your brithday on monday so I decided 'why not just give Peter cupcakes instead? If he doesn't want a fun gift then an edible gift will have to do' and thus I made you cupcakes! Hope you like them"

Peter stared at the cupcakes in his hand for a moment before giving Ned a big tight hug "thank you so much man" Peter just put his new cupcakes carefully in his bag before they started to head to class and carry on with their day.

It was the end of the day, Peter waved bye to Ned before walking towards Happy's car, today was lab day and he's been looking forward to spend some time with Mr. Stark. While on the road Peter decided to eat the cupcakes Ned gave him, and he has to admit, they were delicious cupcakes. Peter even gave Happy a cupcake.

They got to the tower, Peter thanking Happy for the ride before going in and up to the lab.

Once he got there he was immediately greeted by Tony "hey kiddo! A little birdy told me today was somebody's special day" it was May

Peter say down at his station, starting to pull out his books before looking up at his mentor and responding "oh really? Wonder who's special day it is today"

Tony play fully laughed "oh c'mon! Finish your homework, we're going out, Lets get that thing you and May always order, Larb, yeah that. It is your special day after all."

Peter looked up at his mentor, he already told him before that he didn't want any big birthday parties, much to Tony's despise, he wanted to spoil the kid but Peter always said no. And Tony had to respect that.

Peter finished up his homework for the day before going out. They were at the restaurant, just sat down at a table before they heard a voice call out for them. "Tony! Peter!" The voice got closer, panting as she sat down. "Aunt May! Didn't know you would make it" Peter said as he pulled her into a hug.

"Well you know, Im not gonna stay for long, just here to have dinner with you guys since it is Peter's birthday, Tony also texted me that you're going to this restaurant so I decided to catch up with you guys before going back"

They just talked and ate for a few hours, May even brought a cake for Peter to blow out, soon May had to go and Tony ofcourse covered the entire bill. Peter was gonna stay with Tony tonight cause May will be working late. Once they got back to the tower they decided to watch a movie first before hitting the hay.

While watching Peter spoke up "hey Mr. Stark"

"Yeah kiddo?"

"Thanks for today, really means alot to me. Thank you for everything actually, really"

"No problem Pete, anything for you. Now, get some sleep. It's a school night"

They both fell asleep in each others arms and Friday definitely did not take a picture of them sleeping and sent it to Pepper and Rhodey.
