Convex AU where a lost Jellie is found by Cub. Cub and Scar haven't met yet. Fluf!
A flash of lightning struck outside the house. Cub stared at the dark gray clouds and pouring rain and wondered how long the storm was going to last. He heard scratching coming from the door and hoped it wasn't a tree that has decided to fall down on his house.
He opened the door and was surprised to see a very cold, miserable, and wet cat. It mewed pitifully and Cub was set on taking care of her until he could find the owner. He scooped up the little cat and rushed it inside, taking a towel and rubbing it dry. He saw a collar and took it off the cat, setting some warm milk on the floor for it to drink.
"Jellie." He read out loud, as the cat's ears perked up and she looked at Cub.
"Your name is Jellie, huh?" He continued to read. "If lost please return call this number, or return her to this address."
Cub looked at the number and saw it was barely legible as the tag had been chewed in the spot. However, the address was there and he saw it was a ten minute drive to get to the spot.
By then, Jellie was all dry and fed and warm and happy, her white and gray fur fluffy and soft. Cub smiled at the cat and picked her up, stroking her gently.
"Are you ready to go back home Miss. Jellie?"
The cat let out a contented purr in response and curled up in his arms. Cub wrapped her in a blanket so she would stay dry and walked over to the coat hanger, grabbing his coat and car keys. He walked outside and looked up at the storm gray clouds and the occasional flash of lightning.
"How did you walk all the way here in this rain?" Jellie simply stared at him, not answering, not that he was expecting her to. He placed Jellie gently into the front seat and got into the driver's seat, starting the car and driving in the direction of 'Scar', whoever he was.
Just a few minutes later and Cub was standing outside the door of the address, hoping the tag was right. He knocked on the door and it opened. A stressed looking male with brown hair and green eyes sitting in a wheel chair was on the other side, relief shining in his eyes when he saw Jellie.
"Oh, Jellie where in the world did you run off to?" Cub handed Jellie over to Scar and he hugged her happily, petting her fur.
"Thank you so much for finding her, I was so worried. Please, come in." Scar wheeled himself inside and Cub followed him, a faint blush dusting his cheeks. He tried to convince himself it was just because of the rain, but just gave up after realizing how terrible his reasoning was.
"How far did Jellie wander? I hope she didn't cause you too much trouble." Cub shook his head immediately.
"Oh no, not a problem at all. She came to the door, scratching it until I came. I don't know how she got so far, I live 10 minutes from here."
He leaned over and scratched Jellie behind the ears gently, then got up to leave. They exchanged goodbyes and Cub went back to his house, not expecting any more interaction with Scar or Jellie.
The next day, however he heard knocking on the door and opened it to see Scar and Jellie.
"Hello! I just wanted to come by and say thank you for taking such good care of Jellie." He handed a box of chocolates to Cub, who smiled.
" You didn't have to do that, it was my pleasure. How did you find me? "
"Oh I just looked around for houses in the vicinity and I looked for your car in the driveway." They continued to chat for a while, finally saying goodbye and parting about an hour later.
Cub smiled at the chocolate box, thinking about the person who gave them to him. He opened it up and out flew a little piece of paper. He looked at it, a chuckle escaping his lips as he read it.
XXX-XXX-XXXX

The number of a sweet boy, all because of a wet cat...
I don't really think this one is good it's kinda rushed and it has zero plot.
