Adorable xB and Hypno fluff because I need more content of those two. Two competitive bois playing carnival games- I'm turning too soft-

 "Where do we need to go??" Hypno was staring at the map on the platform, tilting his head as if it would help him understand it better. xB let out a tiny grumble.

 "Why do they label everything with colors like- use your words dang it," xB vented angrily. The couple glanced at each other before bursting into a fit of laughter. 

"You know what, heck it let's just go through a bunch of random portals until we find the mall. " The golden haired male smiled as he entwined his fingers with his mustached boyfriend. 

"Let's friggen do it!" xB let out his signature giggle as they wandered the paths of the HUB. The HUB was massive, stretching out for who knows how long. It was the main connection of all the different worlds and servers, containing walking paths and roads and thousands and thousands of different portals, all labeled different things. It was speculated that the HUB never truly ended, just somehow met up with itself at some point. It was the only explanation for how so many new worlds were able to be created and the HUB still had room.

"This way, or maybe this one, or maybe... let's go here!" Hypno pulled xB towards a large portal towering above the rest. If it was that big, it was bound to be home to something large, like a mall or event. Shimmering purple particles surrounded them, swirling and shining, dancing in the air. Outside the portal, crisp pine-scented wind brushed against the pair's skin, ruffling xB's dark hair and teasing a few more golden curls out from under Hypno's bandana. Both gasped at the lovely sight ahead of them.

"CARNIVAL!!" The couple could read each other's minds and ran over to it, mall plans forgotten.

"I'm gonna beat you in all the games."

"No way man, I'm definitely beating you!" xB's eyes glittered with excitement and Hypno could literally feel himself melting at how cute he was. They finally entered the carnival, almost vibrating, and both boys immediately ran to the nearest game. It happened to be a game where a duck must be chosen and depending on the shape on the bottom of the duck, prizes would be won. The biggest prize was a giant brown mooshroom plushie- a rare animal and an even rarer stuffed animal. 

Hypno bounced on his feet- he clearly wanted that stuffed animal really badly. It was absolutely perfect for the Podzol Party and he wanted it for himself too. Immediately, he slammed a dollar down and picked up a ducky. Sadly, it was a blue circle which won nothing.

xB chewed on his lip as he stared at his deflated boyfriend- heck they just got here, he wasn't gonna let their fun day start out on a bad note! He too slammed a dollar down and he grabbed a ducky from the very middle. Lo and behold, it had a sparkly silver star on it! Hypno had the biggest smile as he took the large plushie from the stand runner and gave xB a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek as a thank you. 

 "Oh it's perfect, absolutely gorgeous I love it I love it- I can't wait to show Beef!" xB smiled as he put his arm around his boyfriend. 

"Being one game ahead of you is definitely worth it- you better win the next one or I might just be the carnival winner today!" Hypno paused and glared at him. 

"Are we doing bets again?"

" Yeah, why not... If I win, you have to not wear anything on your head for a day. I miss seeing your lovely hair. "

Hypno blushed, adjusting his headband. "Fine, but if I win, you have to spend all of tomorrow cuddling with me. No work, no mycelium resistance, just you and me and some blankets and a stack of movies."

"Deal!" Both were actually pretty okay with the bets. While Hypno didn't like having his hair out, even when sleeping or being at home, it would be worth it to have xB blushing and complimenting him whenever they were home together. And while xB didn't want to miss any mycelium resistance meetings or get behind on work, he didn't mind spending one day with his boyfriend. After all, what's one unattended meeting or one lost build compared to Hypno's warmth and snuggles and soft kisses?

Several hours of water gun races, bumper cars, and ring toss later, the two boys were at a tie.

"What do we do? I think we played all the games here!" Hypno frowned as he searched for more games to no avail.

"How about we go on the highest, most scary rollercoaster we can find, and whoever screams first loses?" xB stroked his chin as he thought aloud.

"That's a great idea! Last one to the roller coasters is a rotten egg!" Hypno pecked xB's lips before running to the rides in the distance, the latter standing there with a goofy lovestruck smile before coming to his senses and sprinting after his cunning significant other. 

"HYPNO THAT'S CHEATINGG YOU KNOW I CAN'T RESIST YOUR KISSES!"

The two gulped as they were strapped into the seats. 

 "Ya know I'm startin' to regret this-" xB began before the ride lurched forward. They let out small squeaks and grabbed each other's hands. A kind ride manager was keeping the brown mooshroom plush until they came back from the ride. The ride teetered to a stop very quickly.

"Is that it? There weren't any hills,"

Suddenly the roller coaster went a bit further and a huge drop was revealed.

" OH SH-" The boys screamed at the same time as the ride zoomed across the tracks. More and more drops came, the ride going faster, faster, faster, til...

"Thank God that's over." A frazzled Hypno stumbled out of the ride, some of his hair drooping out of his headband. xB simply sat there in shock, eyes wide. 

 "N-never again." xB muttered before shakily leaving the ride. The pair walked away from the ride, both quite nauseous. 

"Who won?"

" You definitely screamed first."

"N-no you did!" Hypno went over to the ride manager and picked up his plushie. 

"Actually, you both screamed at the same time." The manager snickered before turning the other way to attend to others. The boys sighed and looked at each other. They weren't ones to back away from a bet- if there's a tie, they both uphold their ends of the deal. That meant that the next day, xB was staying home and Hypno was letting his hair out properly. 

"Y'know what? This is fine, we get to spend the day together and you don't have to have your hair out on public." xB leaned over and hugged his boyfriend. Hypno hugged back with a huge smile.

"But I still won the first game."

"I won the last one!"

The two playfully bickered, hands entwined as they walked back home to hermitcraft- that is, if they could find it, which was highly unlikely- looking forward to a day of snuggles and happiness.
