Soulmate au to make up for my last oneshot. In this au, people each have a song that fits perfectly with their soulmate's song- a perfect harmony. Convex again! Background rendoc. Viva la rendoclution! (I swear I'll make zit soon it's just I'm not getting any ideas-) 

"Hey Scar! How are you doing?"

"I'm doing pretty well Doc, how are you?"

"Fantastic actually! You wouldn't believe-" A brown haired male walked up to them and kissed Doc's cheek, grinning madly. Scar gasped, seeing who it was.

"Ren?! Are you two together?"

"Yeah dude! We realized we were soulmates yesterday!"

Scar tried to mask his sadness with a grin. 

"Congrats you two!"

"Thanks man. Cmon Doc, there was something I wanted to show you..." The two headed off in another direction, fingers laced together. 

Scar blew out a small sigh. It wasn't that he liked either of them, it was just that he really wanted to meet his soulmate. He'd never heard anyone who had a song that sounded remotely like his, and he was starting to get rather impatient.

"Are those two together now?" Scar jumped, then realized it was just his best friend, Cub.

"Yeah, they finally realized they were soulmates."

"About time! Speaking of, what's your soulmate song?"

"Oh it goes like this-" He was about to hum the song when Grian tapped Scar on the shoulder. 

"Scar! We're running late, come on." 

"Oh- uh- ok then. Bye Cub!"

Cub felt a strange burning in him as he watched Scar and Grian walk away, realizing how close he was to knowing Scar's song. Silly Cub, as if someone as perfect as that would be YOUR soulmate! He's probably Grian's or something... Cub sighed, knowing the voice in him was right. 

"That won't stop me from hoping."

Cub was on his way to the store when he heard soft singing in the distance. He couldn't help but him along, realizing that he knew the notes perfectly. Wait... He started to hum his soulmate song along with it, realizing that they harmonized perfectly. Holy-

He ran as fast as he could towards the source of the singing, slowing down as he neared. All he would have to do was turn the corner, and he'd know his soulmate. He took a deep breath and took the stop around and-

"Scar?" The said male was leaning out his apartment window, singing his soulmate song wistfully to the heavens, and seemed slightly embarrassed when he saw he wasn't alone.

"Hi Cub! What're you doing here?"

"Did that happen to be your soulmate song?" Scar looked startled at the question, then nodded slowly. Cub then began to sing his own song, Scar finding himself singing his song against it. The two songs overlapped and harmonized and blended together so perfectly, like two halves of a whole. The more they sang, the more excited Cub got, realizing he had a chance. A chance to be with the man he loved.

Scar left the window and ran down the stairs, dashing out the door to Cub. Their faces were inches apart as they grasped each other's hands, blue eyes meeting green. The song began to end, and Cub gently caressed Scar's cheek. Scar blushed and leaned forward slightly. 

"I thought I'd never find you. I thought I was going to be alone forever..." Scar teared up, and Cub was quick to wrap him up in a hug. 

"I was hoping it'd be you." Cub leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to Scar's lips, something he'd been dreaming of for years. Scar leaned into it, and they broke apart after a few seconds, blushing madly. Scar took Cub's hand and led him to his apartment so they could talk in private, and Cub smiled, thinking of their song- no... their duet.
