"H-huh?" I asked habang dahan-dahang umuupo ulit sa upuan ko para makalayo sa kanya. It's so awkward near him. 

"Wala akong girlfriend, saan mo nabalitaan 'yan? Fake news ata 'yan." he said, laughing. 

"Wala kang girlfriend?" gulat na tanong ko sa kanya. 

"Wala, pero kung may mag-apply, pwede naman. Kung gusto mo, pwede mo na nga pangunahan para first come, first serve, e." he said, laughing before giving me the paper back. 

"What?!?" I asked him out of disbelief. Seriously?

"Wala, joke lang. Sige na, sagutan mo na para matapos na tayo." he said before eating again. 

Hindi na ako nagsalita or nagtanong pa ulit sa kan'ya, I just focused on the paper again para matapos na. I badly wanted to go home now, kinakain na ako ng hiya. Why do I even asked him about that pa kasi?!?

"Here." I gave him the paper again after a few minutes. 

He looked at it for just a few seconds again bago ibalik ulit sa akin ang papel pero this time, nakangiti na siya. 

"Wala ng mali?" I asked him. 

"Yeah, madali ka lang pala turuan eh." he said before helping me fix my things. 

"Thank you for helping me, next time ulit." I said before waving my hand at him. 

Matamlay akong dumating sa unit ko. 

"Walang girlfriend? Joke ba 'yun? Malay mo naman nagsisinungaling lang diba? For I know, secret lover niya lang 'yung 'baby' daw since wala naman atang nakakakilala sa babae. Yeah, tama. He just lied." I said, convincing myself. 

I just spend my remaining time chilling. After all, I don't care if he's single or not. Pake ko ba? He's just handsome and nice, that's all. I don't like him and I don't care about his love life. We're just acquaintances, nothing more. 

I was about to cook my dinner when I received a message from my Mom. 

From: Mommy

Sweetheart, we just arrived earlier, let's have dinner outside, 7pm at the usual resto. See you there. 

I felt a bit of excitement knowing that my parents are already back, at least makakasama ko na naman sila. I quickly fixed myself before driving to the exclusive restaurant where we will be having our dinner as usual. Its not formal though, chill lang so I just wore a simple sweater and a denim skirt paired with sneakers. I arrived at the exact time and after a few minutes, my parents arrived too. As expected, pormang-porma pa rin sila na akala mo may business meeting na pupuntahan. 

"Hey Mom, Dad." I greeted them before kissing them on their cheeks.
