When It Hits

Hindi ako makagalaw sa pwesto ko habang kaharap ko s'ya. Hindi ko alam kung ano 'yung ibig niyang sabihin kanina and it keeps on bothering me. 

"Hey." I heard someone tapped me slightly kaya kaagad akong napalingon. It's Hans, nakarating na pala siya. "Nyare sa 'yo? Hey, nice to meet you. Sorry for being late I had a flight." he laughed before greeting and shaking his hands with other people. "CEO Svion, it's nice to see you again." he greeted Vince last before offering his hand for a shake too. 

I lowkey looked at Vince, he stood up and reached for Hans' hand and give it a shake. Maganda 'yung ngiti n'ya and he really look so nice. I wonder how's his life now, he looks so high and not the typical Vince I knew before. He's all different now. 

"Huy, mamaya mahuli ka." gulat akong napabalik sa katinuan when Ella whispered to me before giggling. "Huwag pahalata girl, mahirap mainvolve ang puso sa trabaho." she whispered again before laughing and sitting properly beside me. 

"H-huh? I don't know what are you talking about." I said to her before looking away. She just laughed at me while shaking her head. Ang judgmental! 

The meeting proceeded again and this time, pera na ang usapan. Although I already knew what will be the run and the main deal of our partnership with Vince's company, I'm still having a hard time understanding why. It really is something that I still don't accept inside me. 

Magtatayo kasi kami ng resort in Pangasinan and Vince's company is the one chosen by my Mom since they are a company of real estates and development. The reason why my Mom chose them? I don't know. I still am not talking to my Mom due to busy schedules and busy din s'ya sa States. 

"Hey, having a hard time?" I suddenly heard Hans asked me, nasa kabilang gilid ko siya. 

"Yeah, but like do I really have to go to the site? Hindi ba pwedeng mag-utos nalang ako?" I whispered to him. Kumunot bigla 'yung noo ko nang makita ko siyang tumawa ng mahina buti nalang hindi malakas dahil on going pa rin ang meeting. 

"Gail, you need to check your resort from time to time. At least just give it some time. Paano mo makikita 'yung progress?" he asked me back, whispering with a smirk visible on his face, tinatawanan n'ya pa rin ako. Actually alam ko naman talagang kailangan kong maicheck 'yung progress ng resort, kaya lang ang totoo kasi n'yan ay ayaw kong maencounter si Vince. I don't know if he's based in there though but it's better to be sure. 

We just kept on whispering about that topic until bigla kong napansin sa gilid ng mga mata ko si Vince. He's glaring at us so napalingon tuloy ako para harapin s'ya ng hindi sinasadya. Napaiwas kaagad siya ng tingin at nagfocus nalang sa harapan kaya hinayaan ko nalang. 

Pero kaagad kumunot ang noo ko nang lumapit sa kan'ya ang secretary n'ya para bumulong. I saw a smirk on his face before whispering something back on his secretary. Hah, what's with his secretary ba and sobrang close ata nila? 

Hinayaan ko nalang sila. "Okay that's all. Meeting adjourned. I'll just call you again for our next meeting. Thank you so much." kaliwa't kanan ang pagbati ko sa lahat ng mga board of directors na kaharap ko ngayon. Hindi ko pa sila kilala masyado pero I'm trying my best.
