After I got back to my house, I sat on the couch and watched TV for a few hours to pass time. After a 6 hour Harry Potter marathon, I got up off the couch and got ready for dinner. I got a black dress and some fancy white flats. I straightened my hair and repainted my nails black and white. Once I finished getting ready, I played on my phone while I waited for Gerard. -Frank Iero sized time skip- I had just finished another angry birds level when I heard a knock at the door. I got up off the couch and opened the door. "Hi Gerard!" I said enthusiastically. He didn't reply, just smile widely while he looked at me. He leaned in, kissed me, put his hand on my back so I put my arms around his neck and he leaned us back. Once we stood back up properly "What was that for?" I laughed. "I love you, that's why. What, am I not allowed to kiss my beautiful girlfriend?" He said. "Of course you are. And I love you too." I smiled at him. "Alright, are you ready to go?" He asked. "Ready as I'll ever be." I replied. We walked out of my apartment holding hands and made our way out of the apartment to his car. Gerard's POV I'm scared. I know it's way too soon to propose marriage, so tonight at dinner I'm going to give Y/N a promise ring instead. I really love her, and I think she loves me too, but what if she declines it? I really do wanna spend the rest of my life with her, but what if she isn't thinking the same way? I hope she says yes.. I already have my cute little speech prepared. I saw these and honestly thought that they are the cutest thing ever We walked into the place we're eating at, checked in with our fancy reservation thingy, and let the waiter lead us to our booth. We sat down and conversed while we looked at the menus. "I really love your hair Y/N." I complimented her. "Thanks Gee." She blushed. "I really like your hair too." She said. "Thanks." I smiled and kept looking at the steaks. "So you like steak then?" She laughed after noticing I've been looking at the steaks in the menu for 5 minutes. "Yes, steak is awesome. And you've been staring at different varieties of noodles for 5 minutes, so you can't judge me." I replied sassily. "Ok, queen of sass." She laughed. "Anyways, What are you getting?" I asked her. "I think I'm gonna get the Alfredo noodles." She replied still staring intently at the menu. "Cool, I'm gonna get a steak. Surprise surprise! Do you want me to order for you.. or?" I said awkwardly. "I'd rather you did it, I'm really socially awkward." She laughed. "That's fine, I can do it." I laughed. The waiter came and took our orders shortly after. I guess it's time.. I got up and got on one knee in front of her holding the promise rings waiting a few seconds for her to notice me. Once she looked at my position on the floor, her eyes widened. "Y/N, I'd just like to start out by saying that I love you." I said kinda awkwardly. "Now I know, that we haven't even talked about marriage or anything in the future for that matter, but a lot has happened between us in the last 8 months. I really feel a connection, between us, like a spark, and I know that you feel it too, unless you don't then I just look stupid here on the floor.." I paused. "So tonight, I have these promise rings, asking you to promise yourself to me, because I promise myself to you." I finished. I slid my ring on and held hers up and looked into her eyes hopefully. She stared between me and the rings for a moment. I started to worry after she didn't answer. Would my worst fear come true? Was she going to say no? Everyone else staring at us seemed to either look worried, scared, or be giving me sympathetic looks. She seemed to snap back into reality after someone snapped their fingers once they saw my eyes start to get watery. "Oh! Gerard I'm so sorry! I got distracted and- Yes. I DO promise myself to you. I love you Gee." She said. I smiled and everyone clapped and cheered while she slid the ring on. Just as I sat back down, the waiter came over and took our food and drink orders. -Time Skip to the drive home- "Hey Y/N?" I said once we were almost at my apartment. "Yeah Gee?" She said. "So, you really do love me" I asked. "Yes Gerard, I love you." She said. "Do you promise?" I asked. "I promise." She replied. -End of Chapter-
