A/N: Cute stuff. Request from tifuu13 Thanks for requesting.

The Mikaelson home was absolutely beautiful. Completely decked to the nines with gold, silver, white, and black balloons and streamers. A giant banner strung up with a "Happy Birthday, Y/N" written on it in golden cursive. Music sounded loud and clear in the halls of the house.

You smiled as guests congratulated you and handed you gifts. Being best friends with Rebekah had plenty of perks but the Mikaelson family's enthusiasm for parties was not one of them.

"Cheer up, Love," Kol said, beside you. "It's your birthday. Try and smile a real one."

A streamer fell to the side of you.

You laughed lightly. "I'm not exactly made for being the centre of attention," you said quietly.

A young man in a cerulean suit handed you a seafoam-coloured box with a bow. Thanking him, you nodded and placed the present on the table behind you.

"Nonsense. With your looks and charm, I'm surprised you haven't caught anyone else's eye," the beautiful voice of a certain friend of yours said.

Rebekah smiled at you and pulled you into a hug. Her red dress shimmered in the light. A slightly brighter red sash hung on her hip and around her waist, cascading to the floor. Her bracelets jangled against one another as she pulled back her hands.

"Anyone else's?" You asked.

She shrugged. Her way of saying "Not telling".

Kol rolled his eyes. "Alright, now that you are here, I'm gonna go." Before Kol could walk away, Rebekah grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"Not so fast, brother dearest," she said. "I want a hug."

Kol chuckled and enveloped her in one, kissing her cheek lightly before letting her go.

With the last of the presents set away on the table, you were free to dance and eat with everyone else.

Taking a look around, you see Davina and Elijah dancing peacefully and talking. She looked beautiful as ever in her white and silver dress. The top part sparkled under the light as the skirt part floofed outward and twirled as Elijah spun her around.

Realistically, you knew Elijah wouldn't be interested in her like that. She was young and he had his heart broken more than a few times by witches. Still, you couldn't help but shove your clenched fists between your body and arms, crossing them. You looked away, biting the inside of your cheek.

"Jealousy does not look good on you," Rebekah said, nudging you with her elbow.

You chuckled and said, "Nor does it look good on you."

Rebekah was the only one who knew about your little crush on Elijah. That's what you hoped at least.

She laughed lightly. "You know, you should go dance with Kol. He seems rather lonely."

Your eyes wander to where Kol stood, a drink in hand and glaring at Elijah and Davina.

He continued glaring before his eyes wandered to you.

With a smile, you approach him. "Wanna dance?" You asked.

Kol smiled and set his drink on a nearby table. "Anything for the Birthday Girl," he said, with a bow.

He took your hand in his, guiding you to the dance floor. Placing his hands on your waist as you placed yours on his shoulders, he swayed you back and forth.
