"Do you like rollercoasters?"

You laughed and said, "Yeah, yeah I do."

Kol grinned, a glint in his eyes.

"Good, roller coasters are fantastic! I was once on-"

"Kol," Niklaus said, interrupting his brother. "No one cares."

Elijah sighed at his brother's bluntness. It was expected, but that didn't mean he had to like it.

A draft from the opening came down, making you shiver as Klaus glared at the smiling Kol.

Noticing this, Elijah wrapped an arm around your waist and said, "We should leave. There are better places to talk."

Elijah guided you to the stone stairs across from the coffin Kol once resided in. He stopped at the door to the stairs and you turned back.

Leaning forward, Elijah said, "We'll meet you up there in a few minutes, alright?"

You nodded and kissed his cheek lightly before turning around and walking up the stairs.

Some time passed as the Mikaelson brothers talked.

You swore you could hear them yelling and crashes but decided not to say anything when they came up. And when they did, Elijah wrapped an arm around you, kissing your temple, his warmth a comfort on the chilly late afternoon. He let you go after, his presence a ghost against your side.

Klaus glared at Kol when he tried to get closer to you. That just made his younger brother smirk.

"Stop it," Elijah said. "Both of you."

Kol and you sat in the living room, chatting. He was the funny sort. Always able to find something or another to joke about.

Soon, Klaus walked in and scowled.

"Love?" He asked.

Turning to him, you said. "Yeah?"

"I need your help with something."

He had been doing that all week. Seeing you and Kol talking to each other and then, immediately, pulling you away. It was often for something so trivial or simple that you had to keep yourself from laughing.

"Can it wait?" You asked. "I'm in the middle of something."

"No," he said. "It can't."

Sighing, you stood.

You leant toward Kol and said, "See you later."

He nodded as you turned and left with Klaus.

Klaus brought you to your room where your unmade bed lies. The edge barely an inch off the floor, your fluffy comforter lay haphazardly on your bed. Several pillows sat on the floor while only one still sat on the bed. The once perfectly placed sheets, tucked under the bed military-style, were pulled out.

You glared at the sight.

This was not how you had left it when you left your room this morning.

Turning to Klaus, you said, "Did you do this?"

Klaus shook his head.

You gave him an accusatory glare.
