The Goddess of Harvest used all his strength to step away, but he couldn't get far. He found his back pressed against one of the large pillars. There was a glint in Zeus's eyes, like an animal preparing to feast on its prey. "The more you struggle, the more I want you." He grinned. "No matter what forms you take, I can't find myself to look away."
Seokjin's throat felt like it was about to swell. A God didn't need to breath air like humans did. But he had lived in the mortal world for such a long time, his body was capable of feeling suffocation. He wanted help, it was written in his eyes as they grew teary. He hadn't been helpless before. He recalled a version of himself that was bold, one that would fight back no matter who, no matter the status. But that had been when he had nothing to lose.
Zeus had casted a powerful spell on him, one that didn't allow him to feel safe. One that restricted him, prevented him from pushing the King away and sealed his lips from screaming. Instead he could only glare. He despised the King of the Heavens. He didn't know who he could pray to but Seokjin hoped Zeus' own lightning would strike him down.
"Such passion in those eyes." Zeus hummed. "I like the way you look at me. It makes me want to gouge out those beautiful eyes and keep them for myself." He cupped Seokjin's face. The Goddess wanted to throw up, he didn't want to feel his disgusting touches. Especially the kiss that was forced on his lips. Zeus smiled, and it was sickly. "You quiver like a virgin. Have you been waiting for me? Do you feel anger that I've been with many other Goddesses?"
'No.' Seokjin wanted to scream. The very idea of being in proximity to this monster had never been Seokjin's dream. If anything, he wanted to reside in Namjoon's warm embrace. The human's words were soft and gentle. They weren't harsh and angry like Zeus'. Namjoon would never treat him with such disrespect. The Goddess of Harvest continued to wonder how much he had changed. How much Namjoon had changed him. Once he had been just a vessel for his divine powers but now Seokjin could distinguish warmth from the cold. There were emotions he had discovered, feelings he had denied. And the more he thought about home, the cottage where they lived suddenly seemed so far away. Seokjin wasn't supposed to know what happiness or sadness was. There was only supposed to be right and wrong. This was wrong and being with the mere human he had met when the sky had set rain on the Earth was right. 'The person I want to be with is Namjoon.' He thought. It was clear, just like every detail of a flower under the sun. And now that he had admitted it to himself, he was even more repulsed by Zeus, a deity worse than a wild beast. 'Stop.' Seokjin begged with his eyes.
"Haven't I requested for you to be my Queen?" Zeus whispered, his fingers grazing Seokjin's cheeks. "The place beside me should belong to you. Hera was only taking it temporarily. Isn't that right?" He glanced towards her, only acknowledging her presence with the means to undermine her. "There is no reason to play coy, tell me what you would like and I will do as you command. I'll vow to be loyal to you. Would you like that? All those servants only remind me of you, I created them in your image. But I can get rid of them all. Just for you." His whispers pressed into Seokjin's skin like thorns, he felt like he had cuts all over. "So, surrender, you cannot battle your lust for me. Answer me." He snapped his fingers and Seokjin felt his lips part. Despite his dry throat, he forced the following word out of his mouth.
"Monster."
Immediately Seokjin felt Zeus' anger as lightning stroke him. He gripped the Goddess's neck, even a little more force would be enough to snap it in half. "Haven't I been good to you!" He yelled. "How has my sincerity not won you over after all this time?" The King of the Heavens took Seokjin's hand and brought it to his lips.
