🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹Seokjin had been fairly quiet since he had returned from the Underworld. Namjoon always expected him to bicker or jest around so when all the Goddess did was stare mindlessly in their direction. Seokjin was someone who really liked to eat, but watching him continue to avoid even his most favourite food, Namjoon's worry grew. Until this day, he didn't know Seokjin was a Goddess, a being that didn't need food nor water. In his perspective Seokjin could not continue this way.
Namjoon watched as the Goddess of Harvest continued to sweep the floor. There was dust all around the shop apart from the sole spot he stood by. Even if many of his favourite customers would come to visit, Seokjin ignored them as if the world around him didn't exist. When many things were on your mind it was easy to forget your surroundings. There was a pile of problems Seokjin had. Ones that he could never bring up to Namjoon. The human was someone Seokjin could talk to about anything but the very truth about his real identity. The next thing on his mind was how Hera had begun to target the Goddess. Seokjin had never viewed her as a threat before, but as he continued to spend time with this mortal, he realised that it was easy to fear the possibility of something happening to Namjoon. But the most important thought of all was that a human life was far too short and even more vulnerable.
The Goddess looked up at Namjoon, what could he possibly do to lengthen his life? His past self would have laughed at the thought. Seokjin had promised himself that he would take Namjoon in, knowing he would die before the century was over. But now all he could really think about was how to concoct an elixir to lengthen Namjoon's life span. Seokjin sighed. Attachment to a human was far too troublesome.
"Seokjin." Namjoon called out loudly, he took the broom off the Goddess's hands to be noticed. "You've been cleaning the same spot for a few hours. Why don't you sit down before you fall over?"
Seokjin saw the worried expression Namjoon wore, then he stared back at the floor. "Ah... sorry... Don't worry about me, I'll clean over there."
Namjoon put the broom away and then walked over to the shelves to pick up the flowers for their current customer before bidding them farewell. He gently took Seokjin's hand and led him towards the chair by the counter. "You've been dazed since you came back. Sit down, I'll do the cleaning, okay?"
Seokjin nodded reluctantly and sat down, he rested his head on the counter and fiddled with the stem of a sunflower.
"Was there something that happened during your trip back home?" Namjoon asked finally as he wiped the surface of a table nearby. "You've been acting strange."
"Nothing." Seokjin replied. Where was he even supposed to begin explaining what had happened?
Namjoon hummed for a few moments, wearing an uneasy expression. "I've been thinking. I want to travel the world." He seemed to have been considering about this for a long time. Namjoon was only hesitant because Seokjin had never been fond of change.
"You want to leave me!" Seokjin stood up, he had never been frantic before, why was his whole body freezing up? In his eyes, all he could see was betrayal. His lips quivered. "I thought... we were going to stay together from now on." His chest hurt.
The human threw the cloth to the side before he held Seokjin's shoulders, he wore a serious expression on his face. "Where I go, you go. Come with me."
Seokjin looked up at Namjoon. "But this is our home."
Namjoon nodded slowly. "Yes, this is our home and we will return, I just want to learn more about the world. We can continue to sell flowers as we go from place to place. We can grow flowers in little pots. Or we can stay in certain cities for a few weeks and earn a living. While you were away for the last couple of months I realised it wasn't fair you were able to travel without me. So, I've been saving up a lot of silver, and now that you're back, I thought it would be best if we could see the beauty of nature... together?" He cupped Seokjin's face gently. "What do you think?"
