A.N.: I don't think anyone ever listens to the music I put in here, but I'll keep on recommending anyway. Listen, if you'd like, to Skin by Rihanna, and Je te laisserai des mots by Patrick Watson, the ones I'll be referring to in the chapter.

"Get in loser, we're going home," I say after rolling down the car's window.

"Why doesn't that sound unfamiliar?" He shouts setting his luggage in the trunk. He gets on the passenger seat, giving me a soft kiss. "Hi, dear."

"It doesn't sound unfamiliar because it's from a movie. Mean Girls, have you watched it?"

"Doesn't sound like something up my alley."

"I've been trying to catch up on recent movies... well, not recent, I think it's more than ten years old, but Dallas wanted me to know who Rachel McAdams is. I've watched a lovely one about time travel, and the next is The Notebook."

He laughs. "I hope he's not disappointed in me, but I haven't met her yet."

"He must've forgotten by now, don't worry. But you said yet?"

"The premieres!"

I bite my lip. Please don't ask, please don't ask-

"I'm not taking you anywhere you don't wanna be at... but I would appreciate it if you came with me."

"I'll consider it."

"What about Dallas?"

"Didn't I tell you? He's on a school trip, camping for three days."

He smiles. "The house all to ourselves?"

I nod. "You don't even have to say it."

"I guess you thought about it before I did."

"Besides that, the camp also means Lylia's son will be away, which means we can have dinner together, you'll finally meet Jordan."

"I'm crazy to meet the man that made Lylia settle."

"He's a trainer for professional volleyball players or something. I think he switches area every three years because every time I ask it's something different. You'll get along very well, cause you know... sports."

"Sports and stuff?"

"And stuff." I tap the steering wheel. "And how are things going at home?"

"Fine. Lars' working so I didn't even see him, I made sure my house was all shut down and okay, grabbed all I needed-"

"Did you really? What did you bring, one, two luggage?"

"Travelling around made me a practical man. All I need is two of each piece of clothing and I'm good to go. While one is washing, I wear the other. But I promise I bought more than just two this time, I just packed up really well."
