I've been to every kind of hotel, but this one is exceptional in every way possible. Located in Victoria, a fancy and central area of London, The Goring is certainly noteworthy and quintessentially British. We have at our disposition concierges, footmen, special robes and all the luxurious and futile pampering we wished for. But that isn't what makes this hotel unique, but the English atmosphere it created - Karlo would've loved the attention to detail they give.

Here are only going to stay the important backstage crew of The Golden Lands. Writers, producers, representatives, co-directors, etc. Dallas has come with us and Lylia could've brought Lucas and Jordan as well, but Jordan had to work and Lucas was failing school and this was her form of punishment; I, on the other hand, am desperately trying to bring my son closer to me.

In a way fancier hotel, The Bvlgari, it was going to stay the famous and really important people, who also needed more protection. Like the actors, Weaston and his family.

"Don't worry, don't worry. I got you the best room in that hotel, The Royal Suite! Only the best for my favorite writer," he told me by phone a couple of days ago.

The Royal Suite is incredibly large: a sitting room, two suites, a whirlpool, a large balcony, and a dining room. The walls are covered with the finest wallpaper, there are fresh flowers in the vases, the cushions are made in the finest silk. Anything we needed we just had to call. I felt by the gates of heaven.

"I can't wait to tourist around." I say looking out the golden framed tall window.

"Haven't you been to London before?" Lylia asks with a furrow, she's sitting on the sofa with the phone in her hand calling the reception.

"I've been to England, not London, I went to Nottingham, more to the north, York too. But both for business though, I didn't have time to see anything."

Publishing books also means doing small press, autograph sessions, and bureaucracies - the most dreadful part - at various places in the world sometimes. I had no literary agent for the international stuff, and since most of the time I work solely with writing, I had no problems doing it on my own.

"That's inexcusable. I come here every year, but this hotel is... wow. Did you know Kate Middleton stayed here before her wedding day? Oh wait, they've picked up. Hi, it's Lylia from the Royal suite, I'd like to ask for the German Vogue... the biweekly. And-"

I slowly walk in search for Dallas, he has gone quiet for a few minutes now. I find him in the last room I go into, there's nothing there but a piano and its bench, and now Dallas' looking at the piano keys. He looks up at me with a half-smile.

"Why don't you play?"

"Not now," he closes the fallboard with emotional eyes - I know who he's thinking of. "What are doing today?"
