I look up at my husband and smile through my tears, linking our hands. Luke is going on tour now so I have to say goodbye to the man I love, not getting to see him for another five months. He catches my eye and smiles a soft smile, "Baby, don't cry - please don't cry." He soothes, pulling me into a hug and running his fingers through my hair, I look up at his blue eyes and run my own fingers through his blond quiff. "I'm so incredibly happy for you baby, but I'm going to miss you soo much." I whisper, burying my face into his warm chest. He chuckles and pulls me closer, "I know darling, me too." We stay embraced like that for a long time before Mikey says that they have to go. He pulls away to walk with the boys to the boarding gate, but he keeps his hand linked to mine, pulling away only when he has to. He looks back at me one last time, "I love you Claire I'll be home soon." Then he's gone.
*at their house*
"Fuck," I mumble to myself, not that anyone else is around to hear me. I look down at the three sticks, all showing the positive sign. I'm pregnant. Oh fuck, what's Luke going to think, his music career is doing so well and ugh. Well, I have to tell him sometime.
*4months later/ 4 months into the tour*
I nervously chew my fingernails, anxiously waiting to be called up onto the stage where the boys are currently rocking their hearts out. The guitar strumming fades away and the girls screams get louder, "How's everyone doing tonight?" Yells Luke into Mikey's microphone. "Hey! Go to your own!" Protests poor Mikey, making me chuckle at the boys' idiocy. "Ok, ok. Now before those two kill each other we are going to try to finish the set we have planned, ok boys?" Cal laughs into his mike. The two boys grunt in agreement so Cal goes back to introducing the next song. "So London, this is a special song to us, mainly because we got to shoot the video on a roller coaster... I know right, how jelly is everyone right now?" All the girls scream wildly and wave their hands in the air, trying to get the boys' attention. "Haha, anyways not many people know this but this song was actually written for Luke's beautiful, funny, cute, talented, sweet, kind..." Cal keeps rambling on until he's interrupted by Luke, "Ok Cal, I think they get it." Cal pokes his tongue out at Luke and continues, "As I was saying before somebody" he glares at Luke, "interrupted me. This was written for Luke's girlfriend Claire, this is Try Hard!" He finishes. They all start playing while I start getting ready to go on stage. I check what I'm wearing "one final time in the mirror beside the stage before taking a deep breath. I was wearing a dress that showed my baby bump off nicely, I was hoping that Luke would catch on when I walked on stage and be happy. I strut on stage during Luke's part and press a finger to my lips to the crowd, shushing them. I walk up behind Luke and place my hands over his eyes. He jumps around and yells. The song stops and Luke engulfs me in a hug, the crowd erupting in a wild applause. He pulls away slightly with a frown on his face. "What the fuck, where has this come from... How much have you been eating? You look really fat." Luke says. The whole arena was quiet, listening to every word of our reunion talk. But suddenly this has taken a turn. All the boys start to defend me but I cut them off. "Well Luke, women tend to put on weight when they are four months pregnant." I say nonchalantly. His eyes light up and he engulfs me in another huge hug. All the boys join in our hug and start yelling that they're going to be uncles. suddenly I feel something wet on my face and look up to see tears leaking out of Luke's ocean blue eyes. I reach up and lightly brush my thumb over his cheeks whispering to him, "Hey, we are going to be parents."
Pretty soon the while thing was posted numerous times on YouTube, Facebook, twitter. You name it and it was on it. Ellen de generous was even talking about it on her show, if that's not proof that you've made it I don't know what is. Luke and I was interviewed multiple times about our surprise baby and how it was going to affect everything. Luke simply replied with, "they only thing that's going to change is that instead of only having one beautiful girl in my life, I'll have two." Yes, it was a girl.
