FAYE sat at the front desk, growing anxious at the thought of leon being in the dark corridor alone. "i should've gone with him." she muttered to herself, tapping her thigh anxiously. "he's gonna get himself killed." she whimpered, closing her eyes at the thought of him being surrounded by the man eating monsters.
faye jumps up, hearing grunts come from the gate. she jumps off of the desk, rushing over to the man. "don't worry, i got you." she started, grabbing leon's arm tightly.
leon let's out a yelp, feeling one of the zombies grab his leg. "goddammit!" he exclaims, trying his best to move his leg away from the zombie.
faye kept pulling at leon's arm. "i got this." a man with an injured side helped faye with pulling leon away from the monster. he closes the gate on the zombie's head, causing it's head to explode.
leon tries his best to catch his breath. faye couldn't help but feel bad at what had just happened. she wasn't strong enough to save leon. if that officer didn't come by, leon would've been dead.
"you're safe... for now." the man spoke, letting out a groan as the pain in his side grew. he leans against the gate, closing his eyes, trying his best not to think about the pain he was experiencing.
"thanks." leon let out, looking at the man. faye looked away, crossing her arms at the two.
"marvin branagh." he introduced, looking at the two.
leon pants softly. "leon kennedy." he answered, feeling his lungs burn from the previous traumatic experience. faye stayed quiet, trying her best not to intervene in their conversation.
"and you, young lady?" faye jumps up slightly, looking at the injured man. "you got a name?" he questioned.
faye nodded slowly. she looks at leon nervously, only for leon to give her a soft nod. "f-faye matthews." she stuttered, playing with the bracelet on her wrist.
marvin nodded, looking at the traumatized rookie. "there was another officer. i-i couldn't.. i couldn't.." leon trails off, shutting his eyes to forget about the horrible memory.
marvin limps over, holding out his blood coated hand for leon to grab. leon grabs his hand, lifting his self up from the floor.
"i'm sure you did what you could leon." marvin started, with a look of sorrow written on his face. marvin starts to head towards the back of the main hall.
"leon, i'm sorry." faye started, resulting in leon turn around to look at the blonde. "i-i wasn't strong enough and if it wasn't for marvin, you'd be—." her breath hitches, feeling leon wrap his arms around the woman.
faye hesitates for a moment before hugging the brunette back. leon wasn't much of a "hugger" per say. but after what happened in the east hall, he needed to hold someone right now.
