FAYE sat on the desk, biting her fingernails softly as she thought about marvin. "m-maybe it's not too late to save him." she stuttered, looking at the rookie.
leon puts his shotgun bullets in his pocket, turning to look at faye. "faye, as much as i wanna save him, i think it's time we accept that marvin's gone." he sighed, closing his eyes thinking about the dying lieutenant.
faye opened her mouth to say something, only to shut it. "i just can't believe we're leaving him there." she said with her voice barely above a whisper.
leon stayed quiet, feeling his face drop at the thought of maroon dying alone. "we have no choice." he started, feeling a lump grow in his throat. "we did what marvin wanted and that's that." he starts walking towards the elevator.
faye sighed softly, following leon into the elevator. as the elevator descended, faye stood quiet, thinking about her family; especially young quinn.
she couldn't wait to see the look on her cousin's face as she walked through the doors of their new home. she couldn't wait to see the look of relief on her aunt and uncle's face. she just couldn't wait to feel safe again.
the elevator stops at bottom, causing the two to glance at eachother. "follow me." leon muttered, taking his handgun out.
as much as leon didn't wanna admit it, he was gonna miss faye. he was gonna miss her smile and soft blonde hair. he was gonna miss the wonderful feeling he got everytime she touched him. however, if it meant her being alive, then that was all that mattered.
as the two started walking down the grated hallway, they heard grunts and footsteps moving above them. faye grew pale as she took her handgun out.
"what was that?" she rasped out, gripping her gun tightly. "another survivor?" she questioned, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.
"hopefully." leon answered, looking at the sound above them. the two finally made it out of hallway, turning right.
"faye, help me?" faye nodded, grunting a bit as she helped the rookie move the barricade blocking their way.
"you almost got it." he strained. the two move the barricade, getting ready to continue their journey. they were halted in their movements by a grotesque man that looked human yet monstrous.
"what the—." leon muttered, quickly pulling faye behind him. the two looked at the freakish being with fear written all over their face.
the monster pushes leon onto the floor, kicking the girl away from the two. faye grunts, falling to the grated floor. she looks over, only to see that the floor leon was on had fallen.
