THE couple walked onto the platform, trying their best to make their way back to that traitor. faye knew there was something suspicious about ads but she didn't think that she was a mercenary. she could only imagine how much hurt leon was feeling right now. he really trusted her, only for him to see that he was just a pawn in her little game.
faye grew anxious as she saw things around then crumble, falling into the abyss below. she narrowed her eyes once she spotted the injured mercenary.
"i was just thinking you." leon called out, only for ada to smile softly at his comment. faye looked at leon, hearing the hurt in his voice.
"that makes two of us." ada responds. "i was getting worried." she limped towards the two, glancing at the falling debris.
"ya know, we make a good team." leon nodded, looking down at the platform below him. "but i gotta ask you something." faye watched as leon clenched his jaw.
"the way's clear. please tell me you got it." ada looked at the two, watching as both faye and leon glared at her.
"oh we got it." faye responded, placing her hands on her hips.
ada held her hand out, looking around anxiously as heavier things started falling from above. "let me verify the g-sample and we'll get the hell out of here." she said with a tone of urgency in her voice.
"before we do that— we ran into annette." leon started, causing ada to raise an eyebrow at the two. "she claims you're not an fbi."
ada chuckles lowly, smirking at the two in front of them. "oh leon." she pulls a handgun out of her holster, asking her gun at the two. "why couldn't you just hand over the sample?" she questioned. "why didn't you listen to blondie in the first place?"
faye took her gun out, aiming at the woman. "cause i realized, as much as i wanted to trust you—." leon takes his gun out as well, aiming at ada. "i didn't!"
ada shook her head at the rookie. "i really hoped it wouldn't end up like this." she answered, staring the rookie down.
"so that's all this was?" leon questioned, furrowing his eyebrows at the woman. his heart broke, hearing her words. "i was just done pawn to you?!" he spoke louder with frustration and hurt laced in his voice.
"look, i'm just doing my job." ada shrugged.
"and i'm just doing mine, so drop that damn gun!" leon shouted, glaring at the woman.
"i'd drop it if i were you." faye said lowly. ada smirked, shaking her head at faye's comment.
"just give me the sample." ada demanded, keeping her gun up at the two. "hand it over, leon. i don't wanna hurt you." she replied with her face softening at her words.
the platform behind them started falling apart, causing both leon and faye to stubble at the feeling. the two move up, keeping their gun aimed at ada.
