THE two made their way into the east office, clearing any enemies that were in their path. while leon was collecting things, faye decided that it would be best to get a closer look into the rpd as a whole.
the blonde was reading some journal entries she had found in the east office before leon touched her shoulder. faye screams, elbowing leon in the face.
he grunts, moving away from faye. "oh my god! leon, i'm so sorry!" faye apologized, walking over to the groaning boy.
"you don't have to apologize." leon hissed. "i should've said something." he uses his arm to wipe the blood dripping from his nose.
faye couldn't help but feel awful for slightly injuring the rookie. however, there were more important things to focus on.
"anyways, i got the crank for the locker room upstairs." leon started. "we should get out of here." faye nodded, removing the chair from the door.
"wait." faye moves the chair to the side and stood in front of leon. "are you okay?" she questioned, looking at the brunette with her soft eyes.
leon chuckles softly. "it was an accident, faye." he shook his head. "you didn't mean it, it's fine." faye furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head.
"no." she stared into his blue eyes before repeating her question. "are you okay?" she repeated, resulting in leon to furrow his eyebrows in confusion.
"i don't get what you mean." leon responded, looking away from the woman's gaze.
"ever since marvin didn't answer your call— you've been acting, weird." faye admitted. "i know you're worried about him and believe me— i-i am too. but we have to keep ourselves together because—."
"we need to get out of here. i know." leon finished, shaking his head at the thought of leaving marvin behind. "we can't just leave him, faye. he needs help!" he exclaimed, throwing his arms up. "why doesn't he just let us help him?" he whimpered, looking down at the dirty floor below him.
faye teared up slightly, hearing leon's whimpers. she knew marvin wasn't gonna make it, however, she didn't wanna hurt leon even more.
without saying anything, faye pulled leon into a tight hug, laying her head on his shoulder. she smiled softly, feeling leon squeeze her tightly. she felt so safe in his arms. everything felt just right at this moment; she just wanted to stay in this position forever, however, duty called and they had to find a way out of here.
"we gotta get out of here." she sighed, pulling away from the hug. "we gotta screw that crank in." leon nodded, walking out of the office with the blonde.
the two walked through the main hall and made to the other side of the rpd. after walking for a bit, they made their way to the locker room, screwing the crank into the wall.
