Alex P.O.V

I and Shawn were working out, a soft music was playing in the background a noise to keep our minds from not roaming through the dark places. I glanced at Shawn, seeing him lift the weights I knew this was the perfect opportunity to start the conversation he is dreading. "Shawn did you come up with an answer?" I asked the question that can change everything. "I don't know Alex" after moments of silence he finally spoke, letting the weights down, he faced me, looking in his eyes I knew he was telling the truth, he doesn't know that answer and I don't know if I will be able to help him.

"Why is that?" I asked, calmly looking at him, reassuring him that everything is alright "What do you mean?" He confusingly asked me, "Tap deeper into your decision making place and find me the answer" I harshly said, "You and your psychology shits" he shook his head while looking at me, a big smile grew on my face. He knew that my second job would be a psychiatrist, I want to find answers on questions I can't answer, example, why is my father the way he is? Why did he leave? What drives people to murder someone?

"Come on" I encourage him to speak up. Once again he went silent, letting his thoughts and emotions to come out of its invisible cage. "I guess I am scared" he finally mumbled after few minutes "Why is that?" "I-" he stopped again, not answering the question "Why?" I repeated the question again, "I am scared I am not going to live up to your image, to not defend your decision well, for them to be right" The dreading words finally came out, spilling in the air as boiling water for the spaghetti you are making would after you neglect it.

I stayed silent, not expecting that, I didn't know how to answer him, I guess I never saw how he felt. "But you already live up to my image, defend my decisions very well" I chuckled at him, making his head snap at me, looking into my eyes to see if I am lying or not. "I gave you this job, my job to you because I think you are the one worth it. One day I may not be here to guide the agents through the image I set up long time ago, that's why I want you to take over this job now, and one day fully" I looked into his eyes, letting him know what I said is true, letting him know of my plan "A dont say that" he pleaded as his eyes turned soft, once thought exterior melted away "Shawn we both know that can happen at any minute in our line of duty, especially to me" I lowered my voice, soft elements showing in it. Showing my valnarble side, something I do only with him, that's when he knows what I say is very serious, something that can or has left invisible marks on me.

Both our heads snapped towards the jiggling doorknob, two girls walked inside, wearing shy smiles on their faces. As I saw the black haired beauty enter the room, the argument with Shawn slowly disappeared from my mind, looking at her all I could think was how much I would love for her to be mine, to have her in my arms, protecting her at all costs, treating her like the queen she really is, how I would love to claim those cherry red looking lips. "Hey" they both said, snapping me from my deep thoughts. "Hey" me and Shawn smiled at the girls, walking towards them "What are you all doing here?" Shawn asked, his smile never leaving his face.

"My father was coming here and as it's the weekend we thought why not come along" Rey explained as she looked at Alex, briefly looking at me, letting me know that she is answering my question. "That's great we are glad you are here" Alex spoke, her charming voice was on, something she does when she flirts or wants to charm someone big. I let a small laugh at her, already knowing how whipped she is for the black haired girl. "Yeah thank you for that you saved me from working out" I laugh as I looked at ginger girl in front of me.

I have always thought Kate is hot, but now seeing her change not only towards Rey but also towards Alex it made me see her in a different light, to see her in a more than a friend light. I rubbed my neck, showing my toned muscled arm. She looked towards me, she has the same look every other straight girl has when they look at me. Looking up, her face change, innocent look over took her eyes, showing that this is more than just attraction for her too.

"How about I show you around?" I question her, looking at her with hope in my eyes "Yes that would be lovely thanks" she quickly said, shyly looking to the side, "You are cute. Let's go" I chuckled as I saw her face getting redder. Leading the way we left the gym, leaving the two love birds behind, hoping Alex would charm her way into Rey's heart.

We have been walking for the past ten minutes, slowly showing her more and more places of the not so small base. We came to the small park, it was build 30 years ago when the biggest mission happened. Hundred and fifty people led the way in the mission against the Russian mob, wanting to save a neighbourhood from the mobsters that overtook it, killing their sons, ruining their daughters lives, the people were desperate that's when the than general led a small army in hopes to clean the neighbourhood from the evil it had its hands on it. Unfortunately there was a leak in the group, the mob wasnt surprised as the soldiers thought so, no they were more prepared, over hundred people died. This small park was build for the families when they came to held the memorial for their loved ones.

We sat down, looking into the beautiful trees surrounding us, I told the story to Kate, who seemed to be listening to me, time from time she would raise her eyebrows in surprise.
"Is it scary?" She asked after I was done. "Yes" I truthfully answered "But all of this is worth it" I smiled at her. "Let's finish the tour shell we?" I gave her my biggest smile, not wanting this day to be over.

I and Kate kept walking, seeing the wonders around the base. Her laugh rang in my ears many times, being the cause of someone's laugh is the best feeling in the world. As we came closer to the end of the small tour I looked at her, admiring the view, the sun shining casting its lights upon her face, I smiled at her beauty.

"Its really good that you have changed, accepted Rey" I softly spoke. She looked down, "Yeah I mean that's what a good friend should do" she smiled sadly, almost as she is guilty "Yes but not everyone does that. Not everyone is capable to say sorry to someone they dont know or accept someone so fast you are a good friend" she stopped, looking at me I could see how guilty she is. "That's the thing i am not a good friend" I stopped as well, looking at her confused "I kind off feel weird....I really am a bad friend" panic filled her eyes, "You aren't I can see that you aren't. You are still by her side, you want to accept her and even tho you are having this thoughts you havent said anything to Rey, as you dont want to bring her down" I walked closer to her "You have seen her with a boyfriend for years now, always only talking about boys now it's all turned upside down, everything is new and changing so you will need some time to adjust as well. She has been thinking of this probably for years now it has taken a great courage to come out but she did" I took her hand in mine "Take your time it will be alright you are a good friend so for now just be there for her, listen to her" I smiled softly at her, reassuring her.

She wrapped her arms around me, giving me a hug while whispering 'thank you'. We stayed like that for couple of moments, trying to absorb the warmth from each.
As we stayed like that I heard a rumble, she looked at her, her face reddened, embarrassed. I smiled at her "shell we eat?"
