The Vigilante Damsel in Distress

Chapter 20

I woke early before before my Munchkin since I didn't want him to burst in on us.  I'd been warned about Raven so I was careful as Corey woke with me he slid out of bed creating a way out for me.  I slid my pillow into Raven's arms and slid after Corey.  I threw on a tee and shorts before going to start breakfast with Corey following behind me.  Soon I heard the running of tiny feet before my munchkin threw himself at me.  I lifted the bundle of energy up and he clapped his hands against both my cheeks and then smushed giving me fishy lips.

"MA! I pottied like a big boy!" Bjorn shouted happily.

"I'm so proud of you munchkin!!" I said happily.

The guys had been working on his potty training with him as neither of his parents by blood had bothered.

"Good job little man!" Corey said as he held his hand up for a high five.

Bjorn looked at Corey suspiciously but gave him a high five.  I passed Bjorn off to Corey commanding them to play until breakfast was ready.

"Little man I'm going to introduce you to all of the best cartoons." Corey said as he walked away with Bjorn.

Soon I could hear Bjorn's happy laughter floating through my apartment.  I smiled as I made breakfast.  I heard Raven entering behind me and relished his arms wrapping around me.  

"Good morning moya malen'kaya ptitsia.   This is what I've always wanted.  Waking up to both my man and my woman and our child.  All happy." Raven murmured into my ear.

I shoved a piece of fruit into Raven's mouth and told him to get out of my kitchen.  I went back to making breakfast with a smile on my face and a happy heart.  I began to singing along with Heart's Magic Man.  I could hear Bjorn's laughter growing even louder now with Raven in the picture.

"What's this Core?!  He should watch Spongebob!" Raven said and soon I heard the theme song of Songebob floating through the air as Bjorn continued laughing at whatever trouble those two were causing.

Finally I had breakfast ready and brought it out for everyone.

"Munchkin there's something we need to talk about.  It's about your dad." I said.

"Is dad ok?" Bjorn asked with his head tilted.

"Of course he is but he's not your only dad.  There's all kinds of love Munchkin.  Sometimes a man will love a man.  Sometimes a woman will love a woman.  Sometimes they will love both men and women.  For example, both Raven and Corey here love each other.  Both of them also love me.  Uncle Daniel only loves men.  Then there are people who can be in love with more than one person like both of these two.  But also like me.  I love both of them, I love your dad, and I love the other men.  You have fourteen dads Munchkin.  Daniel and Ian are both your uncles but the others are your dad.  Do you understand?  That's why both of these two are here this morning." I said as I fretted about explaining this.

"Dat's why the mean giant comes around a lot?  And Unc Wook?  I mean dad Wook?  And Gabe?" Bjorn asked with his head still tilted but understanding shining in his eyes. 

"Yes, exactly." I said.

"Ok, I get it." Bjorn said.

"We're your favorite right little man?" Corey asked.

"Hm, I don't know.  Gabe likes to say twucking a lot which is funny.  Wook plays with me a lot.  So does Sean, and Mawc.  But you showed me cawtoons." Bjorn said with a shrug as I giggled.

The guys cleaned up after breakfast while I got Bjorn and myself ready for the day.  Then we left with Axel for the Aquarium which had Bjorn excited to see the fishies as he put it.

"Dad will there be shawks?" Bjorn asked from the backseat.

Axel shared a look of complete happiness with me before answering.

"Yes there will be!  I'll even show you organisms that glow!" Axel said.

"Dat's so cool!" Bjorn said excitedly.  

We pulled up to the parking garage and found a spot to part in.  Axel held Bjorn in one arm and held my hand with his free hand as we headed out of the parking garage and towards the Aquarium.  We walked all around seeing sharks, gators, all kinds of fish, jellyfish, and even birds.  Finally Axel took us behind the scenes and allowed us to help feed.  Bjorn loved the dolphins that came right up to us and played.  Then we went to where Axel works and he showed us the glowing organisms which Bjorn really loved and had him giggling.  I found Axel's hand in the dark and leaned my head against him smiling happily.  After we left so that Axel could get to work and I could attend my online classes.  I caught the street car with Bjorn who loved it.  I dropped him off at his grandparents so I could focus on school.  He was excited to spend time with them now that he knew they weren't taking him away.

I had explained to my professors an edited version of everything that happened so they were understanding.  I turned in all my work that I spent the weekend catching up on.  I made sure to participate in each class to make up for missing.  After my classes I got ready for Taekwondo and defense class after.  I picked Bjorn up on the way to the gym.  He was excited to see the fighting.  When we arrived I put him down and he excitedly ran up to Nathan who swooped down and picked him up.  Soon my students began arriving and Bjorn got excited when he saw Layla.  She stood at the end of the line so he could stand next to her and try the following the moves.  He did pretty good.  I think he'll be good once he's old enough to properly pay attention.  Right now he has the attention span of a normal two year old.  

In self defense it went better as Raven knew just how to get him to pay attention and learn.  The women were falling all over themselves at Bjorn's adorableness.  But it also put an extra spark in them as some were parents and others imagined becoming parents and wanting to be able to defend their kids as much as themselves.  After class I met up with Owen, Axel, Luke, and Kevin.  Judge Thomas clearly has something to hide as his own wife reached out and set up them not being home tonight so that I can bug their home.  I was taking Luke as he's like me at sneakiness just in case it was a trap.  Kevin was going to follow them to make sure he doesn't sneak back.  Owen and Axel were part of the planning while Victor and Corey would be monitoring for him.  Once we were done going over the homes most current blueprints Kevin left to follow the couple.  He let us know when they left.    

I dressed in my all black outfit with my cat mask and was surprised Luke had gotten himself a cat mask.  We left and stood out front watching the guards.  Kevin had reported each one of us and how often they cross the front.  Once it was clear we quickly ran to the house.  Corey and Victor had hacked the camera at the front door so it didn't see us unlocking it.  We entered the alarm code once we were inside.  We went about bugging and placing cameras in the living room, kitchen, his office, and other rooms.  We debated the bedroom silently.  The wife hadn't informed us what the situation is.  If it included spousal rape or what have you.  If it's just dirty business with criminals and such but he's not abusive or rapey then I didn't want to encroach on bedroom privacy.  We decided to bug but not put cameras just in case.  When we were done we waited on the ok to get clear of the place.  Once Corey and Victor gave us the clear I armed the place and exited quickly locking it and hiding the key where the wife told us to hide it.  Then we darted out.

Once we were gone I sent Kevin a text to let him know and we headed back.    Even though she didn't tell us what we were monitoring for we had an idea.  After we went through his cases we went through his personal life and she was his second wife.  The first divorced and claimed physical abuse.  That was the only official evidence.  We were hearing whispers around the community though of ex girlfriends who didn't make it to the altar also being abused and citing that's why they left and didn't marry him.  He must have learned his lesson as first wife said he was so perfect until they married.  There were likely signs she missed until marriage when the signs just clobbered her literally.  I wasn't surprised as his court statements made it clear he doesn't think abuse is abuse and it's ok.  His statements and letting these criminals go.

"What you do is so sexy.  We make a good team." Luke said with a grin at me as we walked into our apartment building together.  

"I agree.  What you do is sexy too." I said with a wink.

Luke stayed the night crashing with me.
