Let's face it - we all have a love-hate relationship with Wattpad. I love this place so much for the beautiful community we have here, the platform we get to write and share our thoughts, the kindness and the love present here. However, oh my god, I hate it so much for a lot of reasons, too!

Group Chat Feature: There are so many times I internally curse Wattpad for this. I know it is a writing platform but it's the community here that makes it so amazing. Having a group chat feature is a must!

Enabling Emojis in Private Messages and Message Boards: Oh, the struggle to convey our emotions! We are the generation who rely on emojis to show our innermost turmoil. Happy:😊, sad:☹️, angry:😡, crying:😭. Dear Wattpad I am tired of using ❤️✨ because those are the only emojis you support! Petition to get us new emojis!

Spell-check and grammar correction: This is an unpopular opinion, I agree. But I feel its importance, equally. Wattpad, being a place for budding writers, needs to have a feature for spell-check and grammar correction. It'll be an amazing tool to use.
Click-able Links in Story and Comments: I am not sure why Wattpad doesn't have this. I mean, this is so basic, ugh? I am tired of sending links to individual users whenever they ask for one. I am tired of copying the link and pasting it, and worse, legit typing the entire URL because I couldn't it. *rolls eyes*
Dedications in App version: I seriously cannot understand this gap between the app version and the web version. How tough is it to have the same features on both versions? Apparently, very tough, eh? I was a web user for so long and was happily using the dedication feature now and then, but when I switched to using Wattpad on phone, it didn't have it. I swear, those who have used app version all their life be looking at me like...

Support Images in Private Messages: I know it's not 2017 anymore, but lemme make the joke still. 'Dear Wattpad, every time I want to further my friendship with somebody, I cannot send them my kik. Please' Well, now, I'm not sure but the kids now ask for Snapchat or Instagram, apparently? God, I feel old. Anyways, it's tough. Smh. When you want to talk to your Wattpad friend and realise you cannot send them images, oof, it's a tough game.
Some notable mentions: Lesser glitches please. I swear right now, when I was about to publish this, Wattpad went all crazy. Sometimes, it erases away hours and hours of hard work. So yeah. Also, make instant messaging a thing? The private messages reach very slow and load even slower. 🤷 And let us edit our message board conversations.
....and some more, but I've run out of hatred today. *cracks my knuckles* Maybe, some other day together we can hate on all the features Wattpad should have but doesn't?
I hope you enjoyed this chapter! No hate to Wattpad, but yes, it'll be good if Wattpad actually starts listening to its users on the numerous features it can add to make it a better platform.
