GOLDEN NIGHT

He loved his fans. He really did. Though sometimes his fans were overboard and over reacted to the things concerning him. But he couldn't be thankful enough to have them supported him all the way along his career as one of the A list celebrity for more than a decade. He just needed to understand them more. And he knew he was really smart at that. And tonight, he was ready to make his fans proud again. He would receive another awards this year for his amazing works on his movie.

He came to the event earlier, so he could meet all the reporters and gave them his little interviews. He was one of the most wanted actor tonight. As always. What his fans didn't know was that although he had been doing things like this for more than a decade, yet he still had that uncomfortable and shy feelings to walk through the red carpet and greet  the crowds. But he kept the shyness aside, and walked with the confidence that could swept his fans hearts out and made them cheered and screamed out his name.

He always looked so charming in his formal suits. With his gorgeous smile he took a little time to stop and gave the photographers a chance to take pictures. After he had done the required event, he was led to his seat.

He had always been seated in the front row at any important events. And tonight is no different for he was one of the awardees. As he seated, a glimpse of an interesting figure catched by his eyes. Her simple long white dress flowing softly as she strolled her long and lovely legs walking to the front row where he was seated. She wasn't alone.

She looked so young, he thought. He was wondering who she was. He couldn't remind any faces nor recall any names of this charming unknown young actress. He kept eying her every move unconsciously.
Was she probably someone's girlfriend?
If she was, how could she be seated in this row?
Her boyfriend must be a very important person in the industry.
What a privilege, he thought. He, himself, an A list Hallyu actor couldn't even bring his girlfriend along. He sighed.

He still hadn't moved his eyes from her. She really was interesting. He could see her shyness and politeness that genuinely shown in her gesture. He saw how she smiled and bowed shyly to everyone she greeted. That was so cute, he thought. She must be a new actress. And it was amazing of her, he thought again, that she had to be one of the awardees. If she wasn't, she wouldn't even be seated here anyway.

His phone beeped. He moved his eyes lazily to the screen then smiled. It was a message from BS. "Oppa, hwaiting! You deserved every awards. I'm so proud of you. I'm sorry I can't be with you tonight, but my spirits stay with you. Saranghae!"

He knew she would send him that text and telling him she was sorry. He was a little disappointed by her absence, indeed. But they knew better that it wasn't her fault at all for not being able to accompany him. It was because of something like an  unwritten rule to be followed as celebrity couples. It was kind of ridiculous in fact, but still he had to agree with that. How he wished he could take her and attend to any event they were invited, together, holding hands just like any normal couples would do. His lips pouted to the thoughts. He didn't realize that his colleagues were already sat beside him. So he greeted them.

They finally came to one of the most important awarding session for tonight. He didn't let his ears missed anything about this award. The hosts gave the audiences a brief information about who were the nominees and on what movies.

He was intrigued by the informations he heard. It was a movie that hit the box office and was talked by many honorable and great movie critics which came to his attention. When they played the video, he could feel the goosebumps all over his skin as he watched the young actress's performance on that giant screen. It was seriously Daebak! He would love to meet her and probably would ask any of his next drama producers to pair him with her. He told himself that he was her new fan.

Then came the big surprise. It was such a huge blow to him when the host announced the awardee's name and he saw the face on the giant screen. It was none other than that interesting young lady who happened catched his attention, and she was seated only separated by two seats away from where he was seated. He couldn't manage his astonishment and his adoration as he catched her eyes for that seconds. How she could be that different? He couldn't even recognize her in her movie character. She didn't even look like that character at all tonight. He really was amazed by her talent. She definitely was a versatile actor. He kept staring at her as she turned her face away from him and bowed her face down before she got up and walked gracefully to the stage.

He couldn't stop his eyes following her movements. Guess it was a new habit he got in one night. He felt the rush of blood coming up from his toes to his cheeks as he saw her swayed her hips and strolled those long legs with her bare back vividly open to every bemused eyes. He unconsciously bit his lips and cross his right leg to his left. He was so embarrassed to himself. What was that? He thought.

A minute later he listened to her eloquent and delighful speech. She even made him laugh by her simple jokes about her dress and appearance tonight. He surely laughed to the joke, because that joke was definitely for him. He couldn't recognize her as the queen herself before her time she received her awards. And now he was there longing to shake her hand and wanting to tell her how much he really was amazed by her crafts. He just thankful that he had a chance to have a locked eyed contact with her even though it was only for a brief seconds. But that brief seconds was all he needed to be treasured.

On his way home, he couldn't stop thinking about how amazing he felt when he finally knew who was that young lady who catched his attention. He couldn't stop himself  from grinning. He felt so stupid. He made a note to himself, that he had to find more informations about this young queen. It wasn't because he didn't know her famous name nor her achievements, of course he knew. It was just about that appealing appearance that surprised him the most. She was as the character in her movie, and she was as the Chungmuro Queen. They were completely different.

As an actor he knew how actors would try their best to be embodied with any characters they were requested to be. That was also what he always did. But this young queen, she was in another level. What made her really interesting was her real appearance compared to how she lost in her character. In her real self, she was really unique and beautiful. Something was really interesting about her. But he failed to decide what was it.

He closed his eyes but only got his heart beating faster as he recalled the way she swayed her hips and strolled her legs with her perfect backless dress. He shook his head, but the vision didn't get any blurry. He shook harder. And when he opened his eyes, he was too  embarrassed to see his staffs were staring at him with questions in their eyes. What was that again? He cursed himself.

His phone beeped. "Oppa, you must be on the way to my apartment. Don't forget to buy jjajangmyun. I'm super hungry. See you soon! Love."

He asked his driver to stop by in the restaurant nearby. He breathed heavily. As he tried to clear his mind. Whatever was it with him tonight, he believed it was a starstruck. And he was blessed that he could experience the feeling. Thanks to the legendary young and beautiful Chungmuro Queen.

So now he thought that he could understand his fans better. What he felt tonight, might be the feelings his fans got toward him. So that's how a fan would feel, he thought. And he smiled. Deep in his subconscious mind he wished he would  meet her again someday and he would love to at least shake her hand. And with that thought, he fell asleep.

In the distance, someone is playing guitar. It's a love sonata.
