Chapter 10

A month since Vegeta reluctantly agreed to host the party and he was already stressing out as the day had arrived.

Their summerhouse in the backyard hadn't long been built, and much to Vegeta's disappointment Goku hadn't done any pole dancing for him, despite it being over five years since the incident, Goku still has vivid recollection of when he broke his leg and remotely glimpsing at the pole freaks him out.

The couple had everything prepped the night before, Gine and Tarble helped out with the food, Vegeta bought plenty of alcohol though was questioning where the rose wine had gone to. Seemed that particular wine always vanished whenever Bardock visited. The kids were staying over with their grandparents after Vegeta agreed to let Gine and Bardock have alone time in the hot tub, he learned it was best to not argue against his in-laws particularly his mother in law. Everything seemed to be going well, all guests were invited including Chichi, Vegeta promised to be in his best behaviour after Goku promised to give him a blow job and to try out some new sex toys they recently bought. Nothing could possibly go wrong for the pair.

Goku sighed as he watched Vegeta pacing around the kitchen while digging his fingers into his scalp. There were trays of food all neatly stacked on top of the kitchen worktops. And the fridge was full of cans and bottles of alcohol, yet Vegeta was still pacing the room anxiously.

"Babe, relax everything is going to be okay," Goku hummed, placing his hands on Vegeta's shoulders in attempts to calm him.

Vegeta pressed his lips and glanced back at Goku, as if he could relax -- so much easier for his husband to say as he never seems to stress as much. "Something is going to go wrong, I just know it.. nothing ever goes right for us."

"Hey, don't think like that. Besides, we just have a very interesting life is all," he smiled as Vegeta sighed and leaned into him, "I love you," he soothed while rubbing Vegeta's back.

Pressing his ear against Goku's chest, Vegeta smiled as he felt himself relax while listening to the rhythmic heartbeat. "I love you too," he said under a blissful sigh and wrapped his arms around him. Of course, their sweet moment wasn't to last as there was a loud thud at the door followed by a continuous ringing from the doorbell. The pair groaned and parted from their embrace. Vegeta glanced at the clock on the wall and clicked his tongue, "What the hell?... guests shouldn't be arriving now?!" he combed his fingers through his scalp glancing back at the food that still needed to be placed on their serving dishes. Why oh why, did he agree to hosting a party, it was just too much stress that he didn't need.

"Maybe it's my dad, we may have forgotten to pack something for Goten," Goku shrugged, he noticed Vegeta was about to leave the kitchen to answer while muttering profanities under his breath, "I'll answer it babe, you just relax." He smiled pulling Vegeta back and kissed his cheek before ambling towards the door.

Soon as he opened the door he let out a small nervous titter as there stood his father-in-law with Maron. "Oh... hii." he smiled nervously as he could feel his husband's heavy breath behind him.

"Oh what do you want?!" Vegeta scoffed at his father while pushing Goku aside, the nerve of his family showing up unannounced.

"Just wanted to pop by to spend time with the grandkids as well as my girlfriend."

Goku gulped and looked at Vegeta's idle expression after that cursed word was said, "Oh no..." he sighed and clicked his fingers in front of Vegeta's face to wake him from his trance. Goku then gave his father-in-law a warning glare to not speak of that word in front of his husband again.

Vegeta blinked and shook his head before folding his arms and glaring back at his father, "Sorry... what?"

Vegeta Snr welcomed himself into the house pushing the two out of the way while walking towards the kitchen, "oh you are having a party?" He raised his brows at the trays of food.
