Chapter 15 - 1 Week

"Are you excited then?" I had dragged mum out shopping so I could get some new clothes for L.A. "Of course Mum! I'm going to L.A!" We had been to TopShop, Next and H&M and we were now looking around in New Look. I had already bought 4 pairs of shorts, 2 t-shirts, 5 vests, 7 dresses and 2 pairs of shoes. Mum had now picked up 2 dresses, 4 vests, 3 pairs of shorts and 2 pairs of jeans. "What are you guys gonna do there?" "Just chill, it's a YouTube holiday. There's gonna be 14 of us including me and Ericka" "Wow! Where are you staying?" "We've got a 7 bedroom villa" "Oh my gosh! I never knew you got one with 7 bedrooms!" I laughed. Once we were finished shopping I now had 7 shorts, 2 skirts, 9 dresses, 9 vests, 3 t-shirts, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of shoes and a load of accessories and make up. Mum then treated me to a Nandos and we spoke about going to L.A and moving to London. Mum and dad were happy I was going to London because there was an opening at London Zoo for a veterinary nurse and I always wanted to work in a zoo. They were sad I was leaving because we're a extremely close family.

Mum and I got home around 4pm and I had to write an essay and research some stuff for college and I had to make another video for my main channel. So I opened up my laptop and started typing my essay. I had only wrote 3 pages and Joe was skype calling me. I answered and his face popped up on the screen "Hey beautiful!" "Hey how are you?" "I'm great what about you?" "I'm good, but we haven't spoke for two days!" "I know, I've missed you!" "It's only 1 week!" "A week and 3 days actually but are you excited? Have you got your train down to London sorted? Have you-" "Joe calm yourself! I'm so excited to see you again and I get the train a week on Monday" "You're still okay with staying here Monday night?" "Well considering our flight is at 7am on Tuesday, yeah I'm good!" We chatted for a while longer about L.A and I researched a bit while we talked. We spoke for about an hour before Joe had to go and leave for Zoe's.

Joe was going to stay at Zoe and Alfie's for a week so they could film so videos together. I decided that for my video Ericka and I could play innuendo bingo. I went on YouTube and got and handful of clips. I then rung Ericka "Hey Eri! Wanna come round and make a video?" "Hey Kate, yeah sure! What are we doing?" "Innuendo bingo!" she laughed "Okay, I'll be round in 15 minutes!" I typed a little more of my essay then changed into some black leggings and a blue t-shirt. Ericka knocked on the door just as I was finished setting up. I walked to the door and I could here her talking. When I opened the door she was standing with her vlogging camera facing me. "Hello my lovely!" she hugged me ad walked to my room while a shut the door. "Today me and Kate are gonna be filming some videos, we're doing innuendo bingo on Kate's channel and we're gonna do the whisper challenge on mine" Ericka put her camera down and took her jacket off.

We spent 3 hours recording our videos and then Ericka and I watched a couple films before she went home. It was after 11 so I curled up into bed and text Joe 'Hope you got to Brighton alright, speak soon love you Joesph" I then fell asleep within minutes.

3am that morning

Buzz, buzz, buzz, bu- I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes, buzz, buzz, I looked at my phone that was sitting on my bedside table. Joe. What did he want at 3am? I swiped to answer, "Hello?" I said groggily, still half asleep "Kat, I'm so-o-rry. I'm so-o-o sorr-r-y!" He was drunk, "Joe have you been drinking?" "Kat sh-she ki-iss-sed me!" "What!" "Joe where are you?" there was silence followed by screaming then I heard Zoe. "Zoe!" "Katie?" "Zoe what's happened?" "Kate, Joe's really drunk right now and he doesn't know what he's doing. I'll call you in the morning to talk okay?" "Uhh... Yeah call me as soon as you can Zoe!" "Okay" "Thank you!" Zoe hung up. I put my head back down on the pillow and tried to close my eyes but what Joe said kept running through my head. She kissed him? What did he mean? Who was she? I started sobbing into my pillow, I guess I was tired because I fell asleep.

7am that morning

Buzz, buzz, bu- Really? Again? I picked up my phone. Zoe. "Hi Zoe!" "Hey Kate, how are you?" "Okay I guess, how's Joe?" "I really need to talk to you about Joe Kate" "What is it?" "Last night, as you know, Joe got drunk. I mean really drunk. Just before he called you he was talking to some guy and I went to tell him we were leaving but before I got to him, some brunette that was so drunk she could barely stand kissed him. I didn't want to have to tell you but Joe probably won't be out of his bed anytime soon. I swear to you Kate it wasn't his fault" I was in shock and I had all these words in my head but nothing was coming out my mouth "Kate are you okay?" I nodded before realizing Zoe couldn't see me "Ye-ah, just processing it all" "Okay well if you need me just give me a ring" "Okay, thanks Zoe, bye" "Bye Kate" I sighed with some relief. I had to keep myself occupied and try concentrate on different things.

I decided to edit my video with Ericka, that took something like two hours. Then I wrote the rest of my essay and did all my research which took 3 hours. It was now 12:45 so I got up and changed. I put on some leggings and a baggy jumper. I then realized that I was starving so I went to the kitchen and made myself some soup. Once I was finished I decided to pack. I turned on some music and opened my suitcase. I started folding all my clothes into the case, I sorted out all the make up I would need and packed that, I packed 5 pairs of shoes (2 converse, 2 heels & 1 flat) and the last stuff I had to pack was all my camera equipment but I had to make 1 more video before I could pack it. I grabbed a t-shirt and put it on, I quickly did my hair and make up then I started filming.

As you may know I am off on a holiday to L.A with a bunch of other YouTubers. I will try putting up as many videos as possible but I have so much planned out for you guys. I will be collabing with everyone there so that means there will be videos with Zoella, PointlessBlog, Caspar Lee, Jim Chapman, Tanya Burr, Marcus Butler, Niomi Smart, Dan Howell, Phil Lester and Jack & Finn.

Not only that I will be filming with Connor Franta, Tyler Oakley, Ricky Dillon and so many more amazing YouTubers! I am so excited to show you guys all these videos and I have most of the videos all planned out. All the videos will be put up in a few months time so please be patient. I have only just finished packing, I say finished I still have to pack all my camera equipment!"

I rambled for a little longer about all the details then I finished with my outro. I put the footage on my laptop so I could edit it later and I packed away my camera, microphone, tripod and a couple other things.

It was now 6pm and dad had ordered pizza, we all sat and chatted about stuff while we ate. It was around 7pm so I got changed into my pj's and curled up in bed with my laptop. I looked through all my social media and then I started editing my footage from earlier. Once I was done I caught up on a few videos from other YouTubers and I was in the middle of watching Ricky Dillon's new video when my phone started ringing. I picked it up.
