Chapter 18 - The Airport

I woke up in Joe's bed all by myself, once my eyes had adjusted to the sun light seeping through the curtains, I got up and threw on a hoodie. It was 6am and I could hear faint talking and giggling coming from upstairs. I sleepily walked up the stairs when I reached the top I saw Ericka sitting at the table eating. I crept up behind her and put my hands over her eyes "Guess who!" I whispered "Um... An axe murderer?" I moved my hands away from her eyes "And how could I hold an axe with no hands?" I sat down next to her "You could have been a mutant axe murderer" I laughed "Google it, I bet it's a thing!" I was happy Ericka was back to her normal self but what made her like this? "Morning beautiful" Joe sat across from me. "Morning" I got up from the table and went to make myself some tea, once I made the tea I sat back down. Ericka was giggling at something Joe said. Once they finished eating Ericka went and got ready then Caspar came upstairs "Morning" he mumbled as he walked to the fridge "Morning Cas" Joe waved to him. I said nothing, I didn't want to talk to him after yesterday. Caspar sat at the table with Joe and I "Where's Ericka?" "Downstairs" I snapped at him. He mumbled something but I couldn't hear what it was. "Why don't you go talk to her Cas? Say your sorry?" I turned to look at Joe, "What?" "It's okay Kat, trust me" I slouched in the chair. Caspar finished eating and went downstairs, once I heard his bedroom door closed I looked to Joe "What the hell Joe?" "Listen he explained everything to me last night, all he needs to do is talk to her now Kat" "but what about he-" "I spoke to Ericka this morning" he got up from his chair and walked around to me "so will you stop worrying" I crossed my arms like a little kid "That's it Katie!" He picked me up and took me downstairs, I protested the whole way. "Joseph Sugg, put me down!" Joe then plunked me down on the bed "Thank you" "It's quite alright, now I am going for a shower. We have 20 minutes before we have to leave" "Well you better hurry up because I take forever to get ready" Joe was now at the bathroom door "Believe me, I know!" He laughed and closed the door. I got up from the bed and lay some clothes out to wear today, I choose to wear sky blue high waisted shorts and white long sleeved crop top. Joe finally came out of the bathroom so I quickly jumped in the shower. Once I was done I walked back into Joe's room and got dressed, Joe was packing away his laptop. "You nearly ready Kat?" "Give me 5 minutes" I quickly put on a little make up and tied my hair into a high ponytail.

Once we were all ready Joe called a taxi, when the taxi arrived Joe & Caspar put the bags in the boot and Caspar got in the passenger side and I sat in the middle of Joe and Ericka. "Hey Joe, I'll show you those photos on the plane" "Great, thanks Ericka!" What photos were they talking about? I decided to take out my vlogging camera "Hello my Kats! Today we are off to L.A!" Ericka and I squealed "We're gonna meet everyone at the airport and I'm so excited. The flight is gonna take about 11 hours so thankfully I have my little pillow here!" I lay my head on Joe's shoulder "Hey! We are the same height Kat!" I giggled "I'll keep you guys updated!" I put my camera back in my bag. Joe and Caspar were talking to the driver about something like sports. I turned to Ericka "Hey, did you and Cas sort everything?" I whispered to her "Yeah, I mean we aren't going out anymore but I'm over him" "Are you two still friends?" She nodded. How was she over him already?

We soon arrived at the airport, the four of us entered the the airport and made our way to the group of YouTubers in the corner. As we entered the huddle everyone welcomed us. I went over to speak to Zoe, Niomi and Tanya, while Ericka stayed to speak to Joe and Alfie. "Hey girls!" "Katie!" the three of them said in unison. The four of chatted and giggled until Jim announced we had to check in. We all piled over to the check in point. Zoe, Niomi, Tanya and I stayed huddled while in the queue. I called on Ericka to come join us but she stayed with Joe. I shrugged it off and continued to speak to the girls. Once we were through check in, we all waited for our flight in the terminal. A couple people went off to grab a few things since our flight was delayed half an hour. Joe was sitting with Dan and Phil so I went and joined. "Hey guys" "Hey Kate" Phil smiled up at me and Dan waved, "Hey Joe, can I talk to you for a minute?" "Sure, I'll be right back" Joe stood up and we walked to a shop in the terminal. "So, what do you want to talk about Kat?" "Just miss you" "Is that all?" I nodded, "Why do you miss me?" I shrugged my shoulders when in reality I knew exactly why I missed Joe. It was because he was spending all his time with Ericka, maybe I was just jealous.

"What's up?" Joe held my hand, "It's just you and E-" "Hey Joe, hey Kate" Ericka walked beside Joe. "Hey Ericka" Joe replied, I smiled at her. "What were you saying?" Joe looked back to me "Nothing, you can go back I'm just gonna grab a drink" "I wanna talk Kat" "Oh, sorry was I interrupting?" "A little" I replied to Ericka. "I'll see you guys back at the group soon then" Ericka walked back the way we came. I let go of Joe's hand and walked into WHSmith "Kat, what's wrong?" Joe chased after me "Can we not do this here?" I tried not to make eye contact with him because I could feel tears forming in my eyes. "Kat" Joe grabbed my wrist and turned me so I was facing him, I looked down at his shirt. He lifted me head up "What is it?" I sighed and tried to fight back the tears "I'm jealous" I mumbled "Jealous?" I nodded slightly "Kat, you have nothing to be jealous of, I'm all yours!" That made me feel a little better "I'm sorry, I'm just being stupid" "Hey! You're not stupid, stop being silly" he pulled me in close and I started clearing my head "We better get back we'll be boarding soon" I kissed him quickly before buying some bottles of juice and a couple magazines. When we got back to the group everyone was getting there things ready to board. I quickly rushed over to Ericka and hugged her tight, "I'm sorry Eri, I love you" "I love you too Kate" We both smiled at each other.

'Flight LHR-LAX for Los Angeles is now boarding'

"Were off to L.A!" Marcus shouted. We all boarded the plane and all 14 of us were sat together. We had rows C and D, seats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 and row E seats 1 & 2. In row C there was Jim, Tan, Niomi, Marcus, Dan and Phil. In row D there was Alfie, Zoe, Ericka, Finn, me and Joe and in row E there was Caspar and Jack. (Jack was polite and switched with Ericka) When everyone was in there seats a few people took out there cameras. I decided to join in, I nudged Joe so that he was in the vlog "So guys were now on the plane, and I am sitting next to the loveliest person ever" I began to lean over to Joe then switched to Finn "Finn Harries!" "Hello!" Joe pushed me slightly "Hey, what about me?" "Oh and  I'm sitting next to Joe, anyway I'll keep y'all updated with the flight and all" I put my camera back in my bag and took out my phone. I turned to Joe who had a sad face on "I'm sorry" I said in a childish voice "I cannot forgive you!" "Will this change your mind?" I leaned over and gave Joe some slow kisses, he returned them "Can I change seats?" Finn joked which made me go bright red. Joe leaned over and whispered in my ear "I forgive you" he then started kissing my neck, I pushed his shoulder "Save some for later Joesph!" we both laughed. I then open my camera app on my phone and took a couple of silly selfies with Joe, then I took a couple pictures with Finn.

'We will now be departing the terminal, so please ensure your seat belts are fastened, your tray tables are stored away and your seats are in the upright position.'

Joe put his arm around me and I placed my head on his shoulder. Joe then rested his head on my head and I could feel my eyes closing. Soon enough I had fell asleep.
