Chapter 16 Madness Within

Mimi turns around and sees Lucy staring off into space. Mimi looked around and gave a sigh and walked over to her. The others followed her believing there is another test that needs to be passed.

"So where's the newbie that can't control his powers?" Mimi asked, looking at Lucy with serious eyes. Lucy snapped out her gaze and looked at Mimi and the others. Lucy had a sad expression on her face.

"Why didn't you say something about the madness..." Lucy replies, back with a question of her own. Everyone was quiet as Mimi looked at Lucy with frustration and Lucy the same way to her. Rev wants from behind a tree eating an apple and is behind Lucy. She jumped back after she noticed him there.

"Sorry for the scare. To your question Mimi can't accept that our hopes are on a boy that has the powers of madness." Rav said, looking at Ostrythe and not even blinking for a second.

"What did you do?" Ostrythe question, Rev looked at him and smirked. Mimi slowly closes her eyes and opens them and her eyes change to a goldish color. Mimi turns her head away and then looks at Rav.

"Why are you doing this?" Mimi asked, with worry in her eyes.

Meanwhile... Von is walking through the forest and sees a beautiful huge lake. He sat down and stared off in the distance. Von heard footsteps behind him and his greatsword appear next to him.

"Easy now I am Zuri. I am not here to fight you and I can't fight to save my life at the moment." Zuri explained herself, before Von could do anything. Von continued to look off in the distance.

"I take it people think you're weak." Zuri said, sitting next him in front of the lake.

"How do you know that?" Von asked, looking up at the sky wondering to himself. Then he looked at Zuri and saw her smiling at him.

"I am just good at reading people. But the real reason is you kinda remind me of Ostrythe. I can see why you and him are best friends." Zuri stated, getting up and stretching her arms. Zuri picked up a flat shaped rock and tossed it at the lake it picked 2 steps on the water.

"Hey I got a new record!" Zuri shouted in excitement. Von got up and with his left hand grabbed his greatsword and put on his shoulder.

"One thing I know is Ostrythe is my friend not my best friend. He got a lot of those already." Von said in a serious tone of voice.

"Ostrythe!?! I don't believe that at all. Ostrythe doesn't like to have friends..." Zuri shouted, as she shook her head at Von. This caught his attention and turned towards her.

"What do you mean?" Von asked, now looking curious and wondering what Ostrythe isn't telling him.

"You're talking to the first original friend he has. But I can give you a history lesson on him another time." Zuri replied back to him. Von put his right hand on his head scratching it. Suddenly there is a rip behind Zuri and Von runs to her.

"Zuri move!!!!!" Von screamed at her. Lucky her grabbed her and pulled her towards him. The rip in the air in front was pulled open. All they can see is a black void that leads into nothingness. Out came a light skin man in white suit and with a white cowboy hat on his head. The man snapped his fingers and bow at Zuri. The void disappeared completely and Von took a closer look at the man and saw a scar on his cheek and a long scar that covered his right side of his cheek. Zuri took another look and got behind Von as she saw a horrifying ghost.

"Sawyer, How did you even find this place?" Zuri questions him, gripping Von's arm.

"First thing Mimi should learn is how to hide that disgusting aura coming from that man you're trying to hide behind." Sawyer responded, as he walked closer to them but Von aimed his sword at him.

"Heathen..." Sawyer said, He vanished and then appeared in front of Von and back handed him into the lake.

"Von!!!!!" Zuri cried, running to him but with his right hand he grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him.

"I came for you my sweet. We can have the most perfect wedding you and I." Sawyer said in a soft calm voice. Zuri is still struggling to break free from his arm.

"For the hundredth time you sound gay to me and I don't want you!!" Zuri yells out loud at him. That moment she slapped him on the face. Unfazed by it he grabbed her neck and lifted her up in the air.

"You will do this...The Boss will recognize me and give me the seat at the table. Your fate was sealed back then and nothing will save you now. Not even Ostrythe..." Sawyer demanded and smirked at her. Zuri looked and Von was still in the water. She begins to cry.

"Von just hold on until Ostrythe and your friends get here." Zuri mutters to herself. Sawyer drops her look at a water spout that shot up. Zuri looked shocked to see Von walking out of the water spout on the water.

"Cute look at you walking water. That still doesn't mean anything." Sawyer mocking him. Zuri looked into Von's eyes and saw nothing but hate in them. Von charges at Sawyer with his right hand and punches Sawyer on the face sending him through the trees. Mimi and the other heard the noise and started to head to him. Von looked at Zuri and then looked away. Zuri looked at Von since he's closer and he saw that Von had wolf fangs and a tail.

"You're from the same village as us. Why didn't I meet you?" Zuri asked, Zuri got up but Von backed up.

"You don't know who you are don't you?" Zuri asked, looking very concerned at him. Then she heard Ostrythe voice shouting her name. She sees Sawyer and he's smirking at her.

"Well then this will be nice to see who you will save goodbye darling." Sawyer says as he snapped his finger and walked into the reopened void and closed behind him. Ostrythe ran in and did a wind blast at Von which pushed him back.

"Von you snapped... I won't you hurt anyone..." Ostrythe stated and went on the attack. The other got to the scene and went to Zuri. Suddenly everyone but Ostrythe and Von fell on their knees and struggled to catch their breath.

"Ostrythe and Von are both from the wolf clan and we can't  Intervene with their duel. That's why the oxygen levels are low here." Rav said, sitting on the tree branch. Tiga and Lucy struggle to get and Zuri reaches out to Mimi to get her attention. Mimi turns and looks at her with concern.

"They can't fight...We were attacked by The boss's ECKs...Please save them both..."Zuri said and then passed out.

"They know where we are..." Mimi said, giving a sigh but Lucy got up and charged in at Von.

"Guess I'll deal with Ostrythe then..." Rav said, jumping down walking past Mimi and grabbing his katana.

"Savage and Beowulf I wish you guys were with me...I don't know why you entrust your kids to me...But as you guys always said Let's go have some fun..." Mimi muttered to herself and gave a smirk.
