Skylar's POV

Walking into the hospital, my chest felt tight like a piece of was going to be missing again. I watched as Alex asked the nurse where Anna was but I couldn't hear a thing. Everything was in slow motion. I felt him hold my hand and he led the way.

Walking down the hall, I heard Emily's voice and my heart started to race.

"Bullshit, check the results again" Emily shouted and then I saw them.

Emily, Leo, Miguel and Emily's parents were here and Emily was angry at the doctor.

"Babe calm down" Leo tried to hold her but she pushed him off.

Walking in front everyone, Alex let my hand go and I walked over to Emily and she looked up at me with tears in her eyes and she pulled down and we hugged.

"What happened?" I asked trying to keep composure.

"I don't know, we were all talking and laughing and then she fainted and when she wasn't waking up we freaked, so here we are" Emily cried and my heart broke.

"What did they say happen?" I asked and she kept her head down.

"The doctor said she has cancer and I told him it's a lie and I told them to do the test over" Emily said angrily and I got up shaking.

I looked over Miguel as he was silent staring at the ground and Leo was comforting him as Alex looked conflicted trying to calm down his brother.

"Skylar, you need to sit down" Emily's mom, Sarah said.

"Where are her parents?" I asked.

"Sky please sit your shaking" Alex said.

"I don't care, where are her parents?"I asked angrily.

"They are on their way from the airport" Leo said and I nod.

"Family of Anna Moore?" a doctor said and everyone got up.

"Who are you to Miss Moore?" he asked.

"Were her friends but Emily and I lives with her" I said and he nod.

"Well Miss Moore has leukemia, we double tested her" he said and my heart broke.

"My concern is that she has been sick with this for 3 years but her treatments stop a year ago, do you know why?" he asked looking through everything and silence filled my head.

She was sick for years and we didn't notice until lately. I looked around at Emily who was crying uncontrollably and Miguel who looked completely heartbroken.

"They didn't know about any of this" Alex said to the doctor and he sighed.

"Emily! Anna! "I heard our names and I looked up to see her parents.

"Do you know that your daughter was sick?" the doctor asked them and they looked at us and sighed.

"We know" Diane said and I watched them shocked.

I felt my self being lifted off the ground and was being place in a chair. I looked across with tears running my face as Alex held my hand.

"How-why-she" I tried to speak and he hushed me. I was shaking my leg trying to calm down taking deep breaths.

"Can we speak to you guys?" Dian said and everyone looked up.

"We found out she had leukemia during the second to last year of college when she came home for spring break, she didn't want anyone to know but we thought she would of told you guys by now but I guess she hasn't" her father Luke said with tears running down his face.
