Skylar's POV

Parked outside of the station, my heart was racing and I was completely a wreck. Everyone else decided to wait at the hotel we were staying at. Taking a deep breath, I looked at Alex and he nod.

Opening the car door, we both got out with Pablo following and entered the building. Pablo then told an officer why were here and he nod.

Few minutes later, a woman the same height as me in uniform came towards us.

"Skylar Grey?" she asked with a smile.

"Yes"I said and she held out her hand and I shook it.

"And this is?" she asked.

"My boyfriend and his guard" I said and she nod.

"Nice to finally meet you, I am Officer Jenkins, please follow me this way to a room to meet a fellow family member" she said and I nod.

Alex hugged me one last time and I then followed as she entered inside a grey painted room. There sat another person who was vaguely familiar from behind and then the person turned to me and I was little a taken back.

"Skylar this Vanessa Crump, daughter of Sarah and Timothy " the officer said and the girl watched me with a sad smile.

She looked just like them. She had long brown hair and dark brown eyes. Her skin was radiant in the light and her smile was just like theirs.

"Nice to meet you" she held out her hand and I shook it.

"Same but I am really not sure if I understand how this is possible" I said confused and she sighed.

They never once said about having any other kids. They always said that they couldn't have kids so I was bit lost.

"Take a seat and let me explain" Vanessa said.

Taking a seat, Vanessa took a deep breath and nervously played with her hands.

"Well as you know my name is Vanessa and my parents had me when they were teenagers" she started and I listened.

"I was given up for adoption just like you, the family I was raised by were rich and very nice. I found out that I was adopted at 16, I was in battle with them myself for years whether I should find them or not and when I turned 25 recently I decided I should find them" she sighed.

"That day when I got a call from a private investigator I hired saying they found my parents, I was excited and I took the next flight out" she sniffed and I felt myself getting sad because I know what she was about to say.

"Driving to their home, I was nervous but I knew it was something I wanted to do so I knocked and knocked on the door but there was no answer but what I didn't know that the door was open so I pushed and saw them lifeless on the ground" she wiped her tear.

"I called the station and they said the only emergency contact was Skylar Grey and here we are today" she sniffed and I didn't even realize I was crying until she finished.

The need to hug her was strong so I got up and wrapped my hands around her and she accepted it. They hurt me yes but they were also the people I loved.

"Alright enough crying" she joked and I laughed a little.

"Okay so what do we need to do now?" I asked.

"Well since you both are the children of the deceased the funeral will be handed over to you both" the officer said and we both nod.

"There is also a will reading tonight so you guys will also be meeting other family members" she said and Vamessa and I looked at each other confused.
