Alex's POV

I was on my way to pick up Skylar to head to a doctor appointment. I was honestly bursting with joy but I could tell Skylar was worried. She tried to keep calm as she knew she had to keep her blood pressure low.

My parents and her mother teamed up and found an event planner to deal with our wedding. Skylar and I already met with the planner and explained the idea of what we wanted. Hopefully she comes through with perfect ideas and we can get married next month.

Arriving at the complex, she spots me and walked towards the car. As she entered, I gave her a kiss on her cheek and she blushed. I love knowing the effect I have on her.

"How are you feeling?" I asked as I drove off.

"Whatever my mom made actually helped alot with the morning sickness" she said.

"Okay babe, so did you already called the store in France?"

"Yes, the dress is coming a week before the wedding" she smiled.

Time passed by as we were talking and we pulled in the parking lot of my private doctor. Ms. James has been our doctor for years so I trust her with everything.

Skylar and I walked holding hands as we reached the reception area. I can feel her getting anxious and I felt bad because I needed her to be okay.

"Ms. James please" I said to the reception lady who was fairly young.

She looked up smiling at me and then called Ms. James. The lady then started watching me with flirty eyes and I laughed. I then rest my hand with Skylar's on the desk making sure the lady saw the ring and she turned red from embarrassment. Yeah I am engaged!

"Alex"I heard a familiar voice.

Turning my head, I see Ms. James walking towards us. She was like a second mother to me and I very much missed her. We hugged and then she smiled brightly at Skylar.

"Ms.James, this is my fiance Skylar" I introduced her.

"Hi Ms. James nice to finally meet you"Skylar held out her hand and she hugged her.

I chuckled at Skylar's wide eyes "Call me Carly" she said as they part.

"And you know I hate it when you call me Ms. James" Carly slapped my arm.

I chuckled"Sorry, Carly is our family's doctor and like a second mother to me" I said.

"She is beautiful Alex, you did well with this one" Carly winked at me.

"Thank you"Skylar said shyly.

Carly then lead us to her office and we talked about Skylar's first miscarriage. Carly then did some normal chek up on Skylar making sure she was okay and then we headed to the ultrasound room.

"Okay lay down here and I am going to put a gel on your stomach" Carly said and Skylar nodded.

As she laid down, I lift her shirt up and Carly was setting up the machine. She then placed the cold gel on her stomach. Carly started rubbing it around on her stomach and then that's when it hits us.

A heartbeat. I felt my entire body crawl with goosebumps as I hear the little thump. My baby was actually having our other baby.

"Heartbeat is regular that's good" Carly said monitoring.

She pointed at the screen " The embryo is curved and has a tail which means you about 6 to 7 weeks pregnant." she smiled.

I watched Skylar as tears fell from her eyes. She seemed so in love and broken at the same time.
