The London Institute is located on Fleet Street in London, England. It sits on the former site of the Church of All-Hallows-The-Less, which was destroyed in the Great Fire Of London in 1666. Through its glamour, the Institute appears to be a regular, abandoned church on the outside. Inside, the Institute is as glamorous as a castle. The ceiling rises up and disappears into the gloom above. There are tapestries hanging from the walls depicting stars, swords, and designs of runes. The Institute is big enough to be maze-like for newcomers. Also, much like most other Institutes, the image of Raziel is depicted in several parts of the Institute, and it also has a Sanctuary, which had a fountain with an angel statue. This Institute holds the Great Library of Europe which filled with literature, many of which are either religious or classics.

The rooms are large and dimly lit, enduing a warm and homey feel. In each room is a large bed, a fireplace, and windows. The dining room is huge and bright, lit by a large gasolier that illuminates the room with a yellowish light. A large mirror goes along the length of the room. The study is used for the meetings that the Enclave might have. The basement served as Henry Branwell's laboratory, and the training room is found in the attic.

If you had asked Rhiannon which room was her favorite by far she would say that she could not choose between the library and the training room because she found solace in both rooms. When she felt particularly angry she went to the training room, when she felt particularly sad or heartbroken she went to the library. When she and Tessa first came to the Institute no one could get her out of the library. She had slept on the couch that was situated in front of the fireplace for like three week. It was Jessamine Lovelace ironically who coaxed her out with Banoffee pie which she absolutely adored once she realized that it tasted like banana pudding.

Rhiannon spent the next several weeks held up in the training room with nothing to go on but basic instincts she gathered from her time on the streets of New York City.

"What do you think you are doing?" Will had asked her after she had been up there for two days without ever leaving.

"What does it look like I am doing, Mr. Herondale? Water dancing?" Rhiannon retorted, making Will burst out laughing.

"Well that would be a sight wouldn't it? Do you want some help training?" Will asked as he looked from her to the target. Each knife Rhiannon had thrown missed the mark only by a few centimetres. "Though you are doing quite well for a girl."

"I would like to get better, so if you wouldn't mind." Rhiannon replied, in a whisper only audible for him to hear it. Will and Rhiannon had stared at each other for a moment or two before they got to work. Neither of them leaving for another two days. Only Sophie had seen them within those days, bringing them water and food so they would not waste away.

Now Rhiannon was much more prepared than her sister if she was attacked by a demon or vampire or something of the such. Thanks to Will Herondale.

"Uh, Rhiannon?" Tessa questioned, waving a hand in front of her sister's face.

"Sorry, Tess." Rhiannon apologized. "What where you saying?"

"I was just saying that I think Nate might be dead." she answered.

"He is not dead, far from dead. Though by the time I get done with him, if we ever find him, he will wish he was." Rhiannon stated, trying but failing to lift her sisters spirits. "Tess, listen to me, we will find Nate one way or another. You just have to trust these people. Even though we do not know them very well and even if they have to use our gifts to do it."

"How can you be so trusting?" Tessa asked. "I thought for sure you would be the worst one about trusting these people."

"Remember the first weeks we were here?" Rhiannon asked her. When she nodded, Rhiannon continued "I never left the library nor the training room. I would not speak to anyone but you when they tried to get me to at least eat. You know it Jessamine that got me out of the library?"

"Seriously? I didn't think she really cared about anyone." Tessa giggled, making me smile in the process.

"I think that is what she wants everyone to think. Jessamine is a kind girl once you get past the walls she has built around herself, much like Mr. Herondale." Rhiannon continued, "I was cruel to everyone except you, Jessamine and Will. I was cruel even to poor Jem. But it was Jem that made me see that Charlotte, Henry, and the rest of them are only trying there best in a difficult situation."

"I think Will has a soft spot for you." Tessa admitted.

Rhiannon rolled her eyes and playfully shoved her sister, "The only soft spot that boy has is for himself. And maybe for you."

"What's this now? Who has a soft only for himself and Tessa?" Will spoke up as he entered the library with Jem following close behind. Jem looked a little more paler today if that was even possible. Rhiannon stood up and urged Jem to sit down while Will stood by the fireplace like always.

"No one." Tessa answered, giving Rhiannon a soft knowing smile.

"Are you feeling alright Jem, you are looking paler than usual." Rhiannon whispered to him as she sat down next to him on the couch.

"I took some Yin Fen this morning. So I will be alright." he whispered, smiling softly.

"Well let me know if there is anything I can do to help ease your load today." Rhiannon replied, as he nodded.

A/N: Right so I have decided to start this story out in 1878 for two reasons. Because my story line(s) will be different from how Cassandra Clare wrote her book, but still some the same. The other reason because my vision for this story will be quite different then how you would normally perceive it. However I do hope you are enjoying this book thus far and I hope you continue with the chapters to come.
