Rhiannon's POV:

I sat on the edge of Will's bed, Will slept on the floor a few inches away from my feet. As much as I wanted to I just could not sleep. The images flooding my mind every time I close my eyes. The sound of his voice was one I grew up listening to. One that I truly did not want to believe that would do something so vial and corrupt. I felt Will shift to his side facing me. He slowly opened his eyes as he stretched. I shifted away from him to give him room. He looked up at me and smiled sleepily. The sun trickling into the room through the curtains.

"What's wrong?" he questioned, sitting up on his elbow. "Talk to me?"

I closed my eyes, letting a small tear roll down my cheek. I could hear him shifting once more, making me open my eyes as I could hear his breath within a foot of me.

"I can not begin to imagine what it was like for you. But I can be here to be that shoulder you cry on as you try to move on with your life. Because you will eventually move on." Will whispered. "Not today, not tomorrow, but eventually you will get there. One way or another."

I let the tears escape down my cheeks as I let Will pull me down onto the floor with him. He held me in his arms and slowly ran his hand down my hair, almost petting me like he would a dog or Church. It hurt to know that I was now spoiled for anyone who I chose to be with. And that included Will, and Jem both.

A knock came to the door startling us a little. Will removed himself from me and I felt the coldness return. Will gave me a soft nod and smile before opening the door.

"Oh good your still up." Jem stated, I could hear the smile in his voice. "I need a favor."

Jem stepped into the room looking around as if it was his first time inside Will's room ever. When neither was looking in my direction, I moved to sit on the bed. When I looked up my eyes meet Jem's. He narrowed his eyes and looked to Will.

"It wasn't him who did this to me if that is what you are thinking right now." I whispered looking down at my hands. "I would be dead right now if it wasn't for him."

I could feel the tears well up behind my eyes, but I quickly muffled the urge.

"So if wasn't Will, and it sure as heck was not me." Jem started, "And I know for sure Henry of all people would not do such a thing."

"I was in the training room around ten, and I noticed someone entering the Institute. I was just not fast enough getting to her. I mean I got there in time before he ended up killing her but not fast enough to-" Will breathed, his expression a mixture of feelings.

"It's not your fault." I whisper. "It is no one's fault but my own."

"No it's not even your fault." Jem whispered in a tone I have never heard him use. "Did you recognize this intruder? Was it a mundane or a Downworlder."

"I'm not sure he was wearing a mask, but I don't think-" Will started but I cut him off.

"Mundane. The man was a mundane."

"Are you certain?" Jem and Will said at the same time, making them look at each other for a moment and then their attention was back on me. I nodded, moving my arms to encircle my body. The coldness was still there.

"Why don't you start from the beginning, and tell us exactly what happened." Jem stated, moving towards the bed and sitting across from me. Will took the spot to my right, sitting a little closer for body heat I suppose.

"Charlotte was meeting with Camille Belcourt, and wanted both Tessa and I to be a part of the meeting. I was standing outside the Sanctuary with Will at the time, and I had asked him to meet me in the training room around ten." I sighed, wringing my hands. "When it was got ten I was leaving my room, and before I could shut my door and turn around someone shoved me from behind. At this point I didn't know who or frankly what it was. Naturally I fought him, it's how I got the majority of the bruises and scars. It wasn't until he had me shackled to the bed, rapping and beating, that he started talking and I figured out who he was."
