Rhiannon's POV:
I waited in the hallway outside the room they put Nate in with Tessa, as she looked paler than a ghost on Christmas morning. Since arriving back at the Institute, Tessa has done nothing but fret. About everything.
"You do realize that between the three of us you are the strongest," I muttered in a whisper, "You can make him bend at your will if you truly want to."
"All that right there is a bunch of crap." Tessa breathed. "You know it, I know it and the whole dang world knows it." Tessa turned and looked at me her courage taking over. "You just went through the worst possible thing anyone should ever have to go through. So don't you stand there and tell me that I am the strongest, missy."
I put my hands up in defense and smile. "It made you think more of yourself didn't it?"
"How dare you!" Tessa smiled, wagging her finger at me. "How dare you manipulate me so!"
"What it's not like I have got anything else better to do with my time." I smiled.
"Oh just go bother somebody else, would ya?" Tessa rolled her eyes, "I gotta brother that needs to be dealt with accordingly."
"You're welcome." I smiled, giving her a small shove before walking past her down the hall.
"Bite me!" Tessa calls.
Will's POV:
I stood in the training room, throwing knives at the target with Jem when she burst into the room, her hair a mess and her face dirty. A knife I had thrown only moments before missed the target only by a few inches. Jem looked away from her and moved across the room, something I had found a little odd. However, I didn't think much of it when she came closer to me, the scent of vanilla engulfing my senses. A small smile coming to her face, but not reaching her eyes.
"Is Tessa with him?" Jem questioned, his voice cold and distant.
"She is waiting is the hall for the Silent Brothers to come out with Charlotte." she answered. "I would not have left her by herself if I didn't think her able to handle herself."
Jem turned away from the window, and faced the both of us. His face showing no emotion, as he moved across the room and out the door.
Once he was gone and we could not hear his footsteps any longer, Rhiannon spoke "Is everything alright with him?"
"No clue." I muttered, going to the wall and pulling the knives out. I put them back where they are meant to go and turned to face her. I could see the heat rise in her face as we stared at each other for a moment.
"Will -" she started, but she never got the chance to finish as I moved across the room and pulled her against me and connecting our lips. Our lips moving to a single beat. Her hands started moving around my neck as my own were snaked around her waist pulling her as close to me as I possibly could. She slowly let out a moan as I lifted her up and her legs encircled my waist. I moved towards the wall and pinned her.
Magnus's POV:
I moved around the house that Camille and I shared together. Memories flashing in my mind, as a small knock came to the door. I shook my head free, and peeped through the hole. My stomach clenching as I took a step back and opened the door.
"I need a favor." he said, gruffly.
"And what kind of favor might that be?" I sighed letting the young shadowhunter into the home.
"I need you to raise a Demon." he stated, firmly. "A Demon that cursed me when I was young."
"Do you know who this Demon is?" I questioned, walking towards the kitchen in need of a drink.
"No, I remember what he looks like tho" Will mentioned.
"And why do you need to get ahold of this Demon?" I pushed further, hoping my inquisitiveness would not shut him down.
"Because if I don't then Rhiannon will die." Will admitted, making me stop in my tracks and slowly turn around.
"Explain." I said, my eyes growing dark.
"When I was 12, I had let a Demon out of the Pyxis my father had him in. He wanted to kill my father and since he wasn't there he settled on myself and my sister. The Demon cursed me so that everyone who loves me would die."
"And you think she loves you?" I asked, "Rhiannon I mean."
"I......yes." Will muttered softly looking away.
"And you love her?" I wondered, though I could see it plainly written on his face.
Will's eyes shot up to my own, "Yes. Which is why I need your help."
"Alright but you have to be willing to fetch what I need." I sighed, knowing I was going to regret agreeing to this later.
"I will do anything please." Will begged.
Tessa's POV:
I stood outside the room they kept Nate in for what seemed like forever, before the Silent brothers and Charlotte came out out the room.
"You may see him now Tessa, if you would like." Charlotte muttered, softly. I nodded and moved quickly into the room. Hoping that my strength would not falter.
"Tessie?" Nate muttered softly, as I moved to sit next to him on the bed.
"How are you feeling?" I questioned, taking his hand in mine and trying to block out my screaming at me to be harsh towards him.
"I'd be much better if I could erase those things out of my memory." Nate muttered, as the door to the room entered, making us both look at the person entering. Rhiannon lightly smiled at me, before her face shifted back to a neutral expression. I could tell a shift in her demeanor as well as Nate's nervousness which he tried but failed to hide.
"Annie." Nate nodded as he shifted on the bed, so he could see the both of us fully.
"Nathaniel." Rhiannon stated, firmly. "Charlotte says you are to stay here as long as you like."
"I wont be staying very long." Nathaniel said quietly, looking between us. "How can the two of you trust these people?"
"These people?" Rhiannon retorted, sarcasm lacing her voice. "These people, saved us from the Dark Sisters. These people are the reason you miserable bastard is still alive."
"What do you want me to do, huh? Gravel at their feet?" Nate hissed. "I ain't doin' it Annie."
"No I wouldn't figure you would." Rhiannon rolled her eyes.
"What do you want from me, Annie?" Nate asked, making her look at him, while I felt like I was more in the way.
"I want the pain to go away every time I lay my eyes on you, or think about you." Rhiannon hissed, coming closer to the bed. "I would have much preferred if we let you die."
"Rhiannon!" I hissed, but had no effect.
"You think that I want to be here?" Nate whispered, "To be a constant reminder? Do you think that little of me?"
"You know I do." Rhiannon hissed, turning away from the both of us and moving towards the door. "I will be in my room, if anyone cares."
