Alby eyes flicker opened and you quickly jump in his face.

"ALBY!" You yell out, making him scramble away off the bed.

He sits up on the opposite side of the bed and rubs the back of his head. "Ugh, what the klunk was that for Greenie?"

"Technically Teresa's Greenie..."

"Whatever what'd you want?" Alby asks annoyed.

"You're in charge of things here right?" Alby nods. "Gally is not getting banished." You demand.

Suddenly Minho walks over to the two of you. "Com'on Alby. Gotta go now if we want to make it there and back with enough time to get a good look."

Alby nods and begins putting on some shoes.

"Wait!" You grab his arm as he starts to walk out.

He shakes you off. "Talk to Newt about your problems. I don't have the time."

You let out an exasperated sigh and walk around the other sleeping gladers to get over to where Newt is sleeping.

"NEWT WAKE UP GODDAMMIT I HAVE IMPORTANT ISSUES!" You yell, waking up everyone else in the room. But who cares right? It woke Newt up.

"What the actual klunk." Newt says rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"I have some issues that need to be discussed." You say, trying to sound official.

Newt makes a face. "I swear to god, if you're here to complain about being on some bloody period like Teresa was yesterday, I already explained I don't know how to help you guys with..."

"What? No!" You say, interrupting him. "It's about Gally."

"Oh."

"You're not going to banish him," you demand once again.

"We weren't going to anyway," Newt says. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need my beauty sleep." He mockingly flips his nonexistent long hair and lays his head back down on the pillow.

"If you're not banishing him, why not let him out?"

"No," Newt says in a stern tone. "He stays in the pits."

"Why?! He didn't even doing anything that bad!" You start to get annoyed.

"He broke our rules, he gets some alone time in the pits. That's how it goes." Newt closes his eyes and rolls over so his back is to you.

"But when does he get out?"

Newt turns back over to you. "Stop worrying ok! This has happened before, we know how to handle it. We'll keep him in there as long as we want."

"UGGHH" you yell out before walking out of the room.

All day you find ways to avoid Newt. You even eat your lunch at a different table. Chuck looked over to you from the table and waved, but you just put your head down. Chuck eventually turned back around.

You start to feel bad. Also, even just a day without Newt is boring. So, in the afternoon, you decide to approach him.

He's standing at the doors to the maze. You walk up behind him and tap on his shoulder. He turns and looks at you, and then turns back to the open walls.
