Your eyes widen in surprise, but soon you relax. Your eyes close and you kiss him back, enjoying the moment.

When you break away, your heart is pounding. Gally looks at you with wide eyes, his face as red as a tomato.

"I'm sorry! I don't know what got into me! I just...," Gally rambles.

"No need to be sorry Gally," you whisper back.

He smiles and you can't help but smile back. He looks so happy, much unlike the Gally you first knew. You like this new Gally. You love this new Gally.

He helps you get back up off the ground, makes sure that your crutches are still working properly, and brushes the dirt of his clothes.

"Well I better get going. I don't need Alby yelling at me," he says.

"Ok. I'm just gonna see if there's anything I can help with," you reply. Gally waves and walks away.

You zone out a bit and just stare at his back for a while as he walks away. Suddenly you realize that what your doing is probably weird and stalker-ish so you turn around and decide to look for something to do.

You find Alby after a couple minutes of searching. He's up in a tree, in a tree house of sorts, looking out over the glade, watching everyone at work. You climb up the stairs with much difficulty and walk up behind him.

"Hey Ably..."

He jumps and turns around. "Greenie! Don't do that! You scared the klunk out of me!"

You laugh.

"What are you doing up anyway?" he asks with a puzzled look. "Clint said you should be in bed for at least a week."

"Oh, well I probably would be in bed, but Gally made me these." You use your hear to gesture towards the crutches.

"Gally?" Alby asks.

You nod.

Alby shakes his head. "He's been acting different since you showed up."

"Different?" you ask. "What do you mean?"

Alby looks back out at everyone working. "He used to be this big... well... jerk to everyone. He always was looking for a way to make it into leadership. He was so mad that Newt was second in command. He thought that a weak little boy like him shouldn't be in command." Alby says.

"What?" You can't think of Gally ever being like that.

"Ya. Just ask Thomas. Gally hated him for some reason. Thought that he was some big joke, shouldn't be a runner. He pushed the poor shank around, tried to get people to hate him."

Alby looks back to you and smiles. "But you did something nobody thought possible. You brought out the good in him. I don't know how you did it, but you did."

You blush and look out at everyone working. You see Gally, smiling and joking around with the other builders, as they challenge each other to wrestling matches.

"So why'd you come up here anyway?" Albly asks.

Wait. Why did you come up here? You have to think about it for a while before you remember.

"Oh ya! I was wondering if there was anywhere I could work, you know, during my recovery."

Alby thinks about it for a while. "You could maybe help Frypan in the kitchen. Clean up his supplies, that kinda thing."

You nod. "Thanks," you say, then make your way back down the stairs with Alby's help. You walk over to the kitchen and Frypan lets you right in with a smile.

"I've been needing some help," he says. "I don't care what those klunk heads say. This here is a hard job."

You laugh begin to wash out the pots that Frypan's not using to make lunch. The two of you chat all morning- Frypan turns out to be a pretty funny guy.

You decide you should go there more often. All that laughing was a great ab workout.
