Eight

You wake up to the sunlight streaming in the window, with a certain someone missing.

Where is Newt? He usually would've waken you up by now.

Suddenly memories of the day before come flooding into your mind. You groan, thinking of having to lie around all day with nothing to do.

You look at the table next to you and see a small breakfast of scrambled eggs and home fries. You quickly gobble it all down, then try to think of someway to entertain yourself.

You look towards the little window next to you and see everyone outside working. It seems like such a peaceful scene. You stare out the window for who knows how long, when the door comes flying open.

"GUUUUUUUURRRRRRRLLL!"

You whip your head towards the door and see Chuck.

"Newt told me everything! I KNEW YOU WERE IN LOVE WITH HIM!" Chuck yells with a huge grin on his face.

"Slim it Chu-" you start to say when another figure steps into the room.

It's Gally

"In love with who?" Gally asks, looking curious.

"Nobody!" you say with a glare in Chuck's direction.

Gally stares at you for a minute with a slight frown on his face, when he finally remembers why he came in in the first place. "Oh ya, I made these for ya."

He holds out a pair of crutches and you smile.

"GALLY! THANK YOU SO MUCH!" you yell out excitedly. He comes to hand you the crutches and you reach out and hug him.

Chuck laughs and you look at him. He wiggles his eyebrows at you and you roll your eyes.

You hear a yell from downstairs. "CHUCK! GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW YOU SHANK! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING AN HOUR AGO!"

Chuck's face pales and he runs downstairs. You and Gally laugh until your chest hurts.

When you finally stop laughing, Gally helps you get out of the bed and onto the crutches. You practice using them around the room, and quickly get the hang of it.

Gally guides you out of the room, but you gulp when you see the stairs.

"Gally, I don't think I can do this," you say.

"I can.. uhh.. " Gally clears his throat. "I can carry you down if you want," he says, clearly embarrassed.

"Sure," you say, blushing. Gally sweeps you and your crutches up in one sweep and brings you down the stairs.

"You're so light!" he says as he places you down at the bottom.

"Uhh... Thanks?" You laugh.

The two of you walk out of the building together.

"I better get back to my job. Alby might kill me if he sees I'm not there," Gally says with a chuckle.

"Ok," you reply. "I'm just gonna go and check up on Newt."

You start to walk towards the gardens, when one of your crutches slip. You fall in Gally, who loses his balance and the two of you fall on the ground. He closes his eyes and laughs at you as you blush. When he opens his eyes again, your faces are mere inches apart. His eyes look straight into yours.

You're about to apologize, when he leans up and kisses you.

Also sorry it took so long to update. Writer's block and a busy schedule sucks when you're trying to continue a story.
