"Poseidon, Athena, Apollo, and Zeus verses Hades, Hermes, Aphrodite, and Ares." Chiron called off the teams. "The Poseidon team is blue, and the Hades team is red. Suit up and we'll begin!" his voice boomed.
I made my armor appear from my bracelets again and I made sure all my weapons were all accounted for. I nodded and headed towards a sea of gold helmets with red mowhawk like feathering a on top.
"What's the plan team?!" I said out of excitement.
"What's with the perkyness?" a big buff girl with a warthog-like face asked with disgust.
"Well, anyway, we're going against Athena and Poseidon, so this is going to be a huge challenge," Piper said.
"I'll be right back," I said. I ran into a bush and turned into a mouse and crawled over to the blue team's side. I kept running until I heard them talking.
"Apollo cabin will climb trees at the border. Whenever you see a red team member, shoot at them. Then, Athena will spit in two and hold off at each side. I will guard the flag with Thalia, and Percy, you'll try to get the flag." I heard Annabeth say. I turned around to go back to my side when I stepped on a stick and it made a loud snap. I stood still and my breath caught in my throat.
"What was that?" A kid asked. I kept walking, but I think I was on the god's bad side today since I stepped on another stick and made an even louder snap. I looked behind me and saw feet walking towards me and the crunch of leaves.
