Chapter TwentyOne: Finding the Demigod

ADAM
I was flung across the dining hall on the Argo II. I was picking myself up when two familiar boys came in through the door.
"Oliver!" Maddy exclaimed as she ran to him and hugged him as I was sitting in my seat again.
"Hey," Oliver said back and hugged Maddy back. I snickered.
"How've you been bro?" Oliver asked.
I sighed. "Well, I'm a gay guy eating Fruity Pebbles in a warship after being thrown across the room. Can it get any better?" I asked. The three if us laughed and Percy just stood with his arms crossed.
"Hey guys," someone suddenly said. I turned my head and saw Nico. I fell out of my seat from surprise.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you," Nico said and reached his hand down. He helped me up and we were staring into each other's eyes for a while. His were navy blueish with a hint of bright green.
"Uh, earth to Adam."
I saw a hand waving in my face and I quickly let go of Nico's hand.
"S-sorry," I said with a red face. Nico shrugged and turned to some waffles. Beside me, Oliver was snickering. I turned and saw Maddy smack him upside the head.
"Rude," she muttered. "They're cute together!"
If my blush could deepen more, it totally did. Oliver rolled his eyes.
"You two aren't to bad yourself," Percy said and I laughed again.
"Totally," I agreed. Oliver glared at Percy. I rolled my eyes and sat back in my seat. I looked under the table and saw Maddy and Oliver's fingers intwined.
"We're here!" Leo burst through the door and exclaimed.
"Where are we exactly?" Oliver asked.
"Uh.... I think it's a small town in Michigan."
Michigan eh?
"I think the town is Yale."
Yale? Seriously?
Oliver, Maddy, and I looked at each other and smiled before rushing to the window.
"Oh my gods! Look! It's the High School!" Oliver exclaimed.
I smiled as we sailed over it.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"We have to park somewhere with a huge field or something," Leo said. I smiled.
"To my house!" I exclaimed. "There's a huge field on the side and cars barely come by!"
Leo smiled. "Lets go then!"
I gave the instructions to my house and we were parked.
"So we're just looking around?" Percy asked. Leo nodded.
"Oliver, Maddy, and Adam, you three go to the high school. Percy, get Annabeth and walk around town. Nico and I will also walk around town," Leo said. We nodded and walked out of the ship.

A few hours later, we were walking around the empty hallways of the high school.
"Why do you think we're here?" I whispered. Oliver shrugged.
"Hey! What are you three doing?!"
Uh oh.
We turned and Oliver smiled sweetly before he started talking again.
"We're just working on a journalism passage for the newspaper, and were just about to head to your office sir. But, I guess it wasn't meant to be. Excuse us."
Oliver grabbed Maddy's and my wrist and started walking.
"Well, good luck with that!"
I turned to see the man walking away. He must've been new, since I didn't recognize him.
We kept walking and saw a girl that was about Maddy's hight and had longish ginger hair that was thrown over her shoulder. She looked to her right and left before turning into a mouse and skittering to a door.
"That might be her," I said and Maddy nodded. Oliver just stared.
"Um, Oliver?" Maddy asked and shook the hand she was holding on to. "Hello?"
I snapped in his face. Nothing.
"Do you have a match?" I casually asked. Maddy shook her head. I sighed before patting my pockets and actually finding some. I lit one and put it in Oliver's face. That worked.
"FIRE!!!" He yelled and smacked the match out of my hand. It landed on the floor and I stomped it out with my foot. I looked up again to see Oliver cowering behind Maddy.
"Gods," I muttered. "Ok. Lets go catch that mouse!"
