Chapter Thirteen: The New Kids

OLIVER
I was sleeping soundly like I never had before, when I was rudely waken by Leo yelling.
"Seriously?" I asked while shoving my face into a pillow. Someone stirred under the bed I was in, and seconds later I saw Adam's head pop out from under the bed I was in.
"You up bro?" he asked.
"I wish I wasn't!" I yelled into my pillow. Piper and Selena sat up in their bed when someone knocked on the door.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?!?!?!" I yelled.
The door opened and showed the last person I currently wanted to see. Leo.
"We're at camp!" he yelled before dodging the pillow I chucked at him.
"Cool, now go away," I told him while pulling the sheets over my head.
"I guess you won't be able to train with our awesome equipment," Percy said while walking past the door. I chucked my other pillow at him and it made him fall onto his face. Everyone in the room snickered. Maddy walked into the room while giggling.
"I'm guessing Oliver threw the pillow?" she said while trying to stop laughing.
"Yep."
"C'mon! Lets go!" Maddy said while grabbing my arm and practically pulling me off of the top bunk.
"Let me change first," I said before going into the bathroom and putting on some black sweatpants and a pink tee-shirt I found. I pulled on socks and my high-tops. "Now I'll go."

I looked around the shed with all of the weapons when a centaur came up to me.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"Oliver Zhang. What about you horse-man?" he glared at me before speaking.
"Chiron. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood." he extended a hand and I shook it. "Was your father Charles Zhang?" he asked.
"Yea," I said cautiously.
"Well, now I know we have another descendant of Hades with us," he said.
"Yep. And Aphrodite" I looked back at the weapons and fingered through some arrows.
"It's dinner. Come with me to the dining pavilion," he said as he glared at my hand.
"Ok." He walked away as I followed. We came to a big pavilion with marble columns and a wooden roof. I saw Maddy at a yellow table that had silver legs and Piper, Selena, and Adam at a pink table with silver legs. I sat between Adam and Piper with Selena across from me. There was a girl with black hair and piercing blue eyes and a nose piercing on one side of Selena and a very tan boy with red hair and lots of freckles on the other.
"So, this is my other brother I was telling you about," Piper said.
"Hi, I'm Tyler and she is Dakota," the ginger boy said.
"I'm Oliver," I said.
"I already know. Piper, Selena, and Adam keep talking about you and how you made Percy face-plant by hitting him with a pillow and-"
"I'm gonna get some food," I said before standing up and heading to a buffet on one side of the pavilion.
"Wait up Olive!" I turned around and saw Adam running up to me.
"Olive? Couldn't you've just say bro?" I asked while grabbing a plate.
"Sure. I just wanted to give you a nickname," Adam said while getting a bowl and fork. I put some steak and mashed potatoes on my plate.
"That's fine, just please don't call me a small green vegetable that's really salty."
Adam put some salad, ranch, and croutons in his bowl. "Ok. I couldn't think of anything better." I grabbed some mac and cheese and salad. I threw my salad into a big fire-pit surrounded by stone and saw pink and black smoke come up from the fire. I started to walk back to the table and I saw girls staring at me while smiling. Adam and I walked back to our table, and the whole time girls were waving and saying, "hey new kid," or "hi cutie," and some boys were giving me the death glare. Some girls also blew kisses or winked. One even asked me to come to her cabin later.
"I see you're already popular," Adam said as we reached our table.
"Yea." I dug into my food.
"I can't wait until capture-the-flag!" I overheard a kid say as they walked by our table.
"Capture-the-flag?" I asked.
"Yea. But we use swords and weapons and can be very deadly," Piper explained.
"Sounds like my kind of game," I said. Tyler and Dakota raised an eyebrow.
"My grandpa is Hades," I explained and they nodded and said "oh."
A conch horn blew and I turned towards the sound. I saw Chiron with a conch.
"Today, as some of you may know, three new demigods arrived. They are Adam Messing, son of Aphrodite." My table cheered and I heard most of the guys booing.
"Madison Parker, daughter of Apollo," mostly boys cheered because she stood up and they saw her. I growled a little bit.
"And Oliver Zhang, son of Aphrodite and grandson of Hades."
I stood up and almost every girl cheered except for the ones sitting at a red table, but even some of them cheered. I waved a little and sat back down and heard girls whispering a little bit.
"And also, tonight we will be playing capture-the-flag!" Chiron said while leaning on his back legs.
The kids at the red table cheered really loudly and my table booed.
"The teams are................."
