chapter 74

Zoe's POV

I laid my head against the arm rest on the couch. I still had dried tears on my cheeks.

I had to leave. I couldn't stand Nathan sitting in the hospital bed, admitting about doing these terrible drugs. He's hurting his body doing this.

Why would he do this to himself? He just needs to stop, he's hurting himself and everyone around him.

I'm still at Madison's house, apparently nobody's home, so I can just lay here and take a nap.

I was drifting off to sleep, until I heard a pounding on the door. I groaned, getting off the couch. I slowly walked over to the front door.

Please don't be Harry or one of the boys coming to get me, I thought.

I opened the door fast, and Lee stomped right in.

"What the fuck?" My eyes widened. What does she mean...

"What?" I asked...

"Why would you just up and leave like that?! Nathan didn't mean to hurt your feelings! He really needs you right now, he loves you." Lee hurried and covered her mouth, not meaning to say that.

I furrowed my eyebrows, he loves me?

No, No. No he doesn't. I can't be with him, I love him as a friend.. It will always be a friend.

I just laughed in her face, "Hah, he sure does love me. If he fucking loved me, he wouldn't have done."

She took a step back, I got pretty angry just now.

"Zoe, I know you. Nathan may love you and deep down you probably like him. But just don't hurt the boy. From your friend, go be with Harry! He's the best for you. But just let him down easy.." She sighed, sitting down on a chair by the door.

I nodded, we flopped down on the couch in unison.

"Haha sorry about my little outbreak!" Lee laughed.

"It's fine, I've gotten used to it these past few months." I replied.

We sat across the couch, just gossiping about each other's lives for the past few years.

I've truly missed Lee, she always understood me.. I always had these backstabbing whores as friends, but she wasn't one.

We were laughing away, until Lee brought up Conner.

I tilted my head sideways, "He's proposing?" I gasped.

She nodded smiling real wide, "Yess! I found the box in his dresser when I was doing laundry!" She squealed. I slapped her arm.

She yelped, "What was that for?" She asked rubbing her sore arm.

"You better act surprised!" I warned. "I better be invited to the wedding." I mumbled.

She smiled real wide again. "Well if it is an engagement ring, you'll be my bridesmaid. Katie will be my maid of honor and Kambell and you will be bridesmaid." I just laughed.

Katie and Kambell were Lee's sisters. Kambell was just a freshman in high school, while Katie was out of college.

"Well thank you. But you know this has to be secret?" I reminded.

She nodded, "Yeah I'm not engaged yet."

We laid around all day, nobody was home! Zac and Conner stayed at the hospital, Madison and Devin were working night shift.

I jumped up, "You wanna Skype Chloe?" I asked, grabbing the laptop.

"Oh gosh yes." She squealed.

I typed in the search bar, for Skype. I typed in my account log in.

Suddenly, I noticed Chloe was online, so immediately clicked her name.

She popped up on the screen, screaming.

"Ahhh, I've missed you Zo!" I smiled waving at the camera.

Chloe took a double take, her mouth was agape. "Wait, that's Lee." Her eyes widened.

"Surprise." Lee laughed.

"Oh my gosh, Lee. I miss you! Come up to New York." Chloe put her ring finger up to the camera showing off her wedding ring.

"I'll totally think about that.." She smiled. "But oh wow, Hayes did good." Lee said surprised.

We talked on Skype for almost an hour until Hayes was taking Chloe out to dinner, so Chloe had to leave.

I then, heard car doors slamming. Zac and Conner must be home. Not looking forward to them.

I walked up the houses steps, going to the spare bedroom I stayed in.

I jumped onto the bed, still in the clothes I wore today. I turned my head glancing at the clock. It was uhhh. 9:29. I guess I should go ahead to bed.

I pulled the covers down pulling them onto of my cold body.

All I thought was in my mind, I should probably go back to London tomorrow?

I miss Harry soo bad. All of this Nathan drama has drained me.
